As a person employed to help determine services covered for families in need for 7 years, I am acutely aware of business practices, laws, and state and/or federal benefits available. This as well as cost of combined services in general. After that preface to the following: I am pleased with the level of care my family received when my dad recently passed. They had their hands full with my family and took it in stride. It gives me a chuckle to think about. Though it may seem impersonal, their website is well done and is expected to be utilized. As an initial point of contact or portal. It is comprehensive and intuitive. The largest hurdle is probably getting next of kin that is a senior citizen, to use the web option. After directing my family member to the website no less than 6-7 times and specifically stating that they don't make the arrangements over the phone, they decided taking a phone call was fitting. This even before the face to face that was demanded (that they really don't typically do, up there with arrangements made over the phone) to discuss info that artfully and helpfully already flowed on their website. The website. With available services via easily accessed menus, again being intuitive and easily experienced, and with a running total, you can explore different options based on services and expense. No surprises. Honestly it should be a model for directing folks to services available without overwhelming them with information while grieving. Often we say and feel -spare no expense!- as it soothes us that it is correct and warranted Make sure your family has communicated their wishes with each other prior to passing. It really helps to have this info in place so you can focus on celebrating your lost loved one. They took great care of my dad who passed, and my mom who didn't know if she was coming or going amidst it all. Bless them lol. Communication and ongoing care was thorough and succinct. We had the worst experience with the general manager B Spink who chose to represent a divided family against one another. The untruths that came out of that mans mouth was utterly disgusting. I was my mothers guardian for the past two years and literally did not have any help from other family members, without hearing both sides of the situation, he chose to inject himself into a family situation instead of being a biased party like he should have. he had no business inserting himself as the other partys representative, He repeated and spewed untruths, he proceeded to demand i cough up 2400 because i was my mothers guardian, he demanded that i give him my mothers attorneys name. We had to have our attorney write him a letter to set the record straight, the worst part when my brother and i went to his office to confront the untruths, he behaved so unprofessionally and proceeded to holler and demand at one point slamming his fists on the desk. My brother and I who btw were the only two that cared for our mother during the last two and half years and my husband were trespassed from the funeral home, not being able to say goodbye to our mother. Who does that.

She helped us think about what some of our needs might be before, during, and after her passing. Being a born and raised Alaskan, I've been attending burials here, ever since I could remember. The plots here do not run cheap and many spots have already been claimed. I noticed members of the Catholic faith have the most elite spots near the front areas of the cemetery, my in-laws included. We don't have to walk far to visit them. We love privilege. Like all cemetery's, people steal stuff sometimes. Super ghetto and like super bad karma, but that shouldn't deter you from showing love. It's the thought that counts.

He had the day off and will be back on Sunday. Sounded odd. But what do we know about the moving business? We had the woman set our packing date for 11 days later on 8/22, while we waited for Ben to get back to us with more details. Long story short, no return call Sunday or Monday. My wife finally called Ben the next night and he told her that he and I had spoke and set everything up for the 22nd. But he and I never spoke. He's yet to call either of us. I'm not sure why he'd blatantly lie like that but if he isn't honest on a simple call to confirm he'd won the contract, seems to me nothing he said could be trusted. Low price is important. But these are our lifetime memories. Being able to trust the folks moving them is far more important. Here's another thought. They drive the load through Canada. Not the using the barge. I've driven the AlCan, twice. Not sure I want my valuables bouncing through Canada like that! 09/23
