I drove up to the Funeral Home and waited an additional 10 minutes for the Dire to hand my brothers ashes to me. when I looked for the Certificate of Human remains it was not with my brother. I was told a week ago that his death certificate was ready, I asked that send it in the mail. I still have not received it almost two weeks later. Very Poor Customer Service.

I was my mothers guardian for the past two years and literally did not have any help from other family members, without hearing both sides of the situation, he chose to inject himself into a family situation instead of being a biased party like he should have. he had no business inserting himself as the other partys representative, He repeated and spewed untruths, he proceeded to demand i cough up 2400 because i was my mothers guardian, he demanded that i give him my mothers attorneys name. We had to have our attorney write him a letter to set the record straight, the worst part when my brother and i went to his office to confront the untruths, he behaved so unprofessionally and proceeded to holler and demand at one point slamming his fists on the desk. My brother and I who btw were the only two that cared for our mother during the last two and half years and my husband were trespassed from the funeral home, not being able to say goodbye to our mother. This as well as cost of combined services in general. After that preface to the following: I am pleased with the level of care my family received when my dad recently passed. They had their hands full with my family and took it in stride. It gives me a chuckle to think about. Though it may seem impersonal, their website is well done and is expected to be utilized. As an initial point of contact or portal. It is comprehensive and intuitive. The largest hurdle is probably getting next of kin that is a senior citizen, to use the web option. After directing my family member to the website no less than 6-7 times and specifically stating that they don't make the arrangements over the phone, they decided taking a phone call was fitting. This even before the face to face that was demanded (that they really don't typically do, up there with arrangements made over the phone) to discuss info that artfully and helpfully already flowed on their website. With available services via easily accessed menus, again being intuitive and easily experienced, and with a running total, you can explore different options based on services and expense. No surprises. Honestly it should be a model for directing folks to services available without overwhelming them with information while grieving. Often we say and feel -spare no expense!- as it soothes us that it is correct and warranted Make sure your family has communicated their wishes with each other prior to passing. It really helps to have this info in place so you can focus on celebrating your lost loved one.
