Out of all the years I've been buying comics, games and books, Wizard's Asylum is far and away the very best comic book and game store I've been to. Friendly, knowledgeable and always well stocked. Absolutely crazy expensive prices...was asking about Disney card ..and I have been buying them all over ....they charge double of what other stores are asking ....one full box 150$ I've been getting them for 75$-99$ for a 24 pack cases ....them the guy tried to tell me there retail outrageous...do not recommend this place at all for Disney cards ...very unreasonable read more

I am leaving Oklahoma before July 12th, the day when a bunch of comic books I want arrive. This made me worried that I would go in and buy nothing. Pretty nice comic store! The comics in the white bins are really unorganized and most aren't labeled. But the staff is nice and willing to help you find things or answer your questions or look up specific comics. It's a small store but they're nice and doing what they can. A lot of the comics I found cheaper "new" online so I'm torn because I really want to support local but I do need to save money. 4/5 stars 4/5 store. Definitely check it out read more

One of my top priorities upon moving to Tulsa, finding a local comic book store. Exploring the city for the said comic book store, I found Wizard's Asylum. The name instantly caught my eye, because Wizard's Asylum was my go to comic book store in Norman throughout college. Well, I found out this is the original. Wonderful experience. They have everything here. Comics, board games, action figures, collectables, graphic novels. Also, the store is fantastically organized. DC and Marvel have their own sections, in alphabetical order, while other publishers have a collected section. Organization is huge, I can get easily distracted and confused in book stores, so I really appreciate this. Every time I have been, Wizard's has had a 50% off table with random graphic novels, etc. on it. Really like the workers, knowledgable, relatable, non-elitist (you know what I mean, sometimes there are those "nerds" who try to make you feel inadequate if you don't know your stuff), and overall helpful. Perfect for the comic book veteran and someone who may just want to stop in and look around. You never know what you may find! read more

Just in town visiting family and decided to check this place out. It's now my favorite game shop in Tulsa. Was able to find the board game I wanted along with a new set of dice and dice bag. This is kind of an all-in-one store for games and comics, with a decent collection of board games, RPGs, Magic cards, Warhammer stuff, and comics. The store is nice and clean, the employees know the business, and it seems like they're always changing things up and keeping a good rotation of products to stay fresh and current. Apparently this is THE place in town to go to for Magic the Gathering and Pokemon tournaments and cards, but I'm not really into that scene so I can't really comment on that. This is, however, probably the best place in town to go to for CCG's, RPG's, miniatures, board games, and new comics. The back issue selection of comics is only okay, so if I'm looking for something in that area I usually go to Star Base 21. My one "complaint" isn't even really enough to warrant a lower rating, but it happens a lot with stores like this. They deal in so many different genres of products that it kind of "hurts" their stock in some areas. For example, as mentioned above, their back issue selection of comics is only mediocre. And as far as RPG products go, they have all the main books and popular stuff, but there's more niche-y and off-brand stuff I would like to see. But like I said, it's not that big of a problem, and it certainly doesn't keep me from going here. EDIT: As of December 2013, Wizards completed some remodeling, and it's even better than before. They have a dedicated gaming room now, and more merchandise in the regular room. Truly one of the best gaming and comic book stores I've ever been in in my life. read more

This is by far the best game store in Tulsa. Being a board game player of the old Avalon Hill games, I can tell you, it's pretty hard sometimes to get a game that is any fun to play. Wizards Asylum not only has a large selection of board games, D&D stuff, card games, and comics, but the people in the store know what they're talking about. What's more, they know what you're talking about. If you say, "I'm used to playing this..." they say "Okay, how about this?" And then they begin to explain what it is. That said, I'm also a comic fan. Wizards Asylum also has a very nice comic selection, but if you're a Nightwing fan like me, you might be a little disappointed. That's okay though, because it's still the best shop in Tulsa for games and comics. read more

Big store with all kinds of game, comics, cards, mini's, paint's, dice and books. The people working there actually know about the products too! It was nice to go to a game store that had Air Conditioning, game events scheduled on a regular basis and didn't smell like a teenage boys shoe closet. read more

Excellent selection of popular favorites and lesser-known gems, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff who always go out of their way to help me find what I need, even if it means referring me to another store. SUPER IMPRESSED! I had heard that they had a great selection of comics and tabletop games. But I was most excited about the giant wall of miniatures and excellent selection of dice. I definitely want to come back and check out the tabletop games more thoroughly. This is bar none the best Comic book store, gaming establishment, and place to find all those awesome hard to find toys/collectibles. I have been going to this store for over 20 years and NEVER had a bad experience. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and family oriented, so no worries about an inappropriate atmosphere. I stopped by this place hoping to see some new comics and graphic novels but was sadly dissuaded from picking anything up (except for a couple of things front the bargain bin) by the fact that every single new issue, trade, and graphic novel is sealed in plastic. I don't know about you but I like to read a sample of a book before I commit myself to a purchase. When I asked the guy behind the counter why they had things set up this way his response was "I don't know, I don't mess with the comics shit." read more
