I've known about the station for quite a while, but since I can't tune it in where I live, I've never heard it before. But one day I decided I really wanted to listen to Christopher Rude again. who host shows on the radio station and so I looked to stream it and was successful. So for the last few days I've been listening to it via my echo dot. So far the Station seems welcome alternative to 97.1 The River because it's playing a wider variety of music, although largely from the same era. I've heard some songs that I hadn't heard in years from some Linda Ronstadt Classics to Frankenstein by the Edgar Winter group and a whole bunch of other stuff . Also, I'm looking forward to hearing replays of the Casey Kasem show on Saturday mornings. That should be a real trip back in time. read more

WJBB 107.1 FM plays classic rock and is similar to the better-known 97.1 FM in Atlanta. They tend to give a greater variety of music from the 60's, 70's. and 80's than does 97.1, which is great. Some of the songs I haven't heard on the radio for a long time. They even play re-runs of Casey Kasem's American Top 40 from the 70's which is fantastic. When I first started listing to 107.1, I was pretty excited because I though I had finally found a station that would take the listener back in time to a place where music was more fun than vulgar. I remember being a kid in the 70's and listening to a lot of music that they play. Not only was the music great, it was also a lot of fun. Music back then was a way for everyone to escape from whatever was bringing them down. I fell really bad for people who where born in the last twenty years, because they really don't understand how much fun music can be without a lot of vulgarity. I though that maybe 107.1 was trying to share some of that happiness we had in the past with people today. The problem is that 107.1 has hired Christopher Rude, formerly from 96 Rock, to continually remind us how base our society has become. This makes no sense whatsoever. One week I tried to listen to the station, and he went on and on about some weird sexual fetish. He is a really poor match for the station. I can't even listen to 107.1 anymore. I like the music a lot, but I just don't want to be brought down by the same talentless trash that you can find just about anywhere these days. read more
