I looked at the tropics watch on the web page and they mention The Gulf of America not The Gulf of Mexico. Do they have any clue what they are talking about. Goodbye channel and web site. Last Friday was my first encounter with a local Jax news station. I was asked to make a television appearance on River City Live. For someone who studied TV production in college, this was a real treat for me to check out firsthand! It's off the beaten path in the Southbank, not too far from my place. Parking wasn't ample, but it's free. Once you walk in the front doors, you must be buzzed in by the secretary. As for the actual station, it was clean, well-kept and buzzing with busy bodies. I was greeted by multiple television personalities and they were eager to converse. It was an incredible experience to watch the show live from a behind the scenes perspective. My TV production days aren't as far behind me as life makes them out to be, so it was an overall feel-good experience to bring me back to my former passions. A friend of mine mentioned to me it's the second oldest news station in Florida. There's your fun fact! read more

First thing is spell check. This site has so many spelling errors and incorrectly presented information it's scary. Example: Today there was a missing person report. The article said if you see the police call 911. Not if you see the missing person, if you see the police. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The stories selected for publication often omit national news. Like the Supreme court ruling against Texas. Not one mention on this news station. Beware. This is the worst place to get news unless you want to be uninformed. My dilemma is where to get real news from? NPR? No way on earth I would watch Fox news! ROFL is that really news? Seems to me like it is all opinion, and no real news? read more

I like news4jax very much. They are very informative. What I don't like is the weekend anchor by the name of Briana Andrews. She puts on a very bad appearance in front of the camera. Her full figure appearance isn't professional looking at all. She needs to be immediately taken away from the camera reporting as well as being the weekend anchor. The 2 females who do the traffic report should take her place. As long as you have Briana Andrews in front of the camera, I & others won't be watching the station nor patronizing the sponsors products. I never received a reply from the station when I emailed them my comments. Obviously they don't want your insight on different matters. I'll watch another news network. So Today Justin Barney writes a story about how football practice has started and things are finally back to normal in our area. Meanwhile today hospitals are breaking COVID records in a Florida surge hospitals are begging for help and begging people to get vaccinated and wear masks but sure we are back to normal. Also they seem to have disabled the comments on the story as I tried to leave a comment and there were no comments. Reporting like this is driving this insanity. read more

One star is too generous. I reached out to them about property management company called great Jones to basically warn tenants and home owners who wanted to do business. My old home was in the process of being condemned and news4jax could have helped me by taking the story like they said they would. I explained about the living situation and how they refused to make much needed repairs (mainly the septic tank) i was told that they would reach out to me the next day nobody ever called me then my home ended up get condemned in May and here it is August these people just sent my security deposit back but I can't cash it because the amount and every place I go (including the bank it came from) tell me they need to call them to verify the account but great Jones closed the phone lines. Its crazy to me because all this coverage they're doing about property managers and slum lords you'd think they'd hear me out. So much for watching out for the community. read more

Never see a station that seems to stir so much conflict in the city. Supposedly for cops and firemen but then are the first to accuse or show up to their house if under investigation. Not even charged but a investigation. That's one example. And the reporters...Cmon! I have seen better work and interviews put together by high school media classes. It's laughable! It just seems the station tries so hard to stir conflict and be dramatic. There are many more reasons but for this my household will not watch. Fox30 we will now be. Last straw is this upcoming story they want to do if the fight at the jags game. Lame!!! read more

Fake news, Liberal snowflakes, never did watch any Jacksonville news station because they're the worst I've ever seen but I have seen some reports on this station from the election, they said there's no proof of corruption in this election , since you people are the news maybe you should do your research before deciding that. My husband and I have stopped watching this station because of their liberal slant on stories. This used to be our favorite but not anymore. I don't watch the news for personal bias. Just report the news and let me decide how I feel about it. Now we watch FOX30. read more

Channel 4 gets one star for their awesome field reporters and use of social media. I'm also including one for the amazing Tom Wills, what a legend! However, these cannot help with all the flaws this station has. This station has an awful hard time determining what is breaking news, sensationalizing the news, not being clear about the order of their stories, and not giving enough information. The forecasters (except Richard) are not very accurate and don't seem to understand the local weather very much. This station either doesn't have enough editors or the ones they do are incompetent. I have never seen a station with such horribly written copy or as many mistakes that were not edited. At least one in every thing you can find on their site it seems. read more

Congratulations to WJXT for all the awards you have won recently! I have been watching Channel 4 since day one. I feel that the news anchors are part of my family. I watch the news at least 3 times a day.....morning, noon & night. I prefer the news on this station to any other station in Jacksonville. read more

New4jax seems to regulary and often censor or wipe out any reader comments that News4jax doesn't like or if they don't agree with it. Comment ...as long as it's in alignment with the liberal midset of the News4jax team or doesn;t in any shape way of form offend or attack News4Jax. New4jax articles seem to be FULL of typos and grammatial errors. The general composition is horrible and as if whoever writes many of the articles never had an English class. Their web page is easy to follow and the general content of the articls os OK. However, sicne they appear to be against the 1st ammendment and donl;t seem to play fair, the articles don't matter and they get a low rating. read more

I am a native of Jax & 72 years old now...I am a member of a pioneer family in the area & I am proud of that !...I have been watching Channel 4 since it came on the air...I remember Bill Grove and all the people for those days...I am a big fan of the station!...I get the Times-Union, but half the articles I read today in the T-U, I have seen on WJXT a few days before...It really bothers me that some "locals" blast the station for being "liberal"...that means "educated" in my book!...The station tries all the time to combat "fake news" ...I am sad to say there is a lot of it out there now.....Kudos to News4Jax!...Keep up your good work!!..I will keep watching! read more

Hi, I'm a long time watcher ,I'm disabled so I watch y'all 3 times a day, I love the family atmosphere! But quite frankly, I'm upset with the information, actually the lack of, on the school shooting, WHY are you not going more into this young man's life, you talk about his instagram, how other kids perceived him. BUT then you casually mention, his mother died 3 month's ago, she die suddenly, or did this young person, have to sit and watch her die slowly painfully.
