I decided to go to UrgentCare of Louisiana one week after I became ill and 4 days of laringitus and just not feeling better. Dr. Anisha Turner is the BEST! She took tests and found I had Strep Throat. Not only did she give me a steroid shot, she prescribed me FIVE other meds that kicked in immediately and by that night I was 50% better and the next day I was 80% back to my healthy self. THANK YOU DR. TURNER! RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!!!! Great staff, treated with respect and clean facility!

Our great family friend requires her service animal everywhere she goes and today when she went to…read morebe seen for an urgent matter she was refused service because of her disability of needing a service animal. Then someone from the back came and confronted her about her service animal and told us it was policy that her dog was not allowed in there even though on the front door of this business it states that service animals are welcomed. We took a picture of the front door where this policy is made clear and visible. So she was denied the treatment she needed and because of this whole experience has triggered her disability and has thrown her into a massive panic attack where she can't even talk without stuttering. We have contacted all the proper authorities and lawyers, and we need to take this matter to court. This is completely wrong on how this Facility refused to treat this poor girl because of her disability shame on you. This company completely discriminated against our friend who was denied medical treatment because of her service animal.

I asked her who Dr was on duty & she rudely/curtly informed me they don't give out that kind of information. Unfortunately the next nearest SouthStar Urgent Care under my current insurance is in Minden. SouthStar is also the only Urgent Care facility that is under my insurance plan. After dealing with this location I don't care to ever step foot back in another one if all they hire are lazy, ill mannered, rude people. For the record, I am white. The family who walked in after was black & was told to have a seat. Everyone in waiting room (2 adults/2 kids) before I arrived were black. I would hate to think that is the reason I was turned away but that is the impression I was given. I chose a one star because that is lowest I could give. Will be contacting my insurance company to file complaint also. Because their facility is only one covered on our current policy I have already changed insurance coverage to one that allows coverage under Willis Knighton hospital systems.

We were instructed to do so by our primary physician. Had to basically tell them what to do. Had to ask for them to recheck urine, give IV fluids for dehydration. The doctor ordered a chest XRray for "cough" rather than checking her abdomen. she didn't have a cough!!! Dr Keitz was the rudest doctor I've ever been around. Personality of a wet mop. Dr. Kelly Bihm is the rudest, most unprofessional, and dismissive doctor I've ever encountered…read more After flying across the country to be here for my mother in the ER, he did not acknowledge any family upon entering the room and would ignore anyone speaking to him (and even refused eye contact) unless it was my mother who is a stroke patient and was experiencing confusion and severe headaches. It was clear he was attempting to discharge us with no respect or consideration for what we were going through. I would highly recommend getting him some sensitivity training asap as he has a terrible and disgusting attitude problem and I would hate for any other patient to feel the way he made us feel. My mother actually cried after his foul treatment and even felt afraid of receiving further care at this hospital. On the other hand, the Advanced Cardiovascular Specialist, Kristen Keener, stopped by and was so incredibly kind and pleasant and extremely thorough in her explanations. She answered and even welcomed any questions we had as opposed to Dr Bihm's sour and dismissive attitude when it came to our concerns. She truly came in and saved the day making this experience much more positive and helped to cheer my mother up after being so poorly treated. She really made all the difference and is the only reason I am giving this even one star.
