When I questioned the location of the office and she just said "In North Oaks". She also was not residing in any "office", since I asked for her personal location and she said, "not in the office". She just kept repeating the same question I'd like to sign up for an appointment online, so I kept insisting that I'd like to know more about the process first, and where to find out more than just watching a video. She never once directed me to any website even though I asked. Finally, she stated she could take my name and number but as I gave it to her and she repeated it back to me, she kept getting the number and spelling of my name wrong even though I spoke very clearly. There is definitely some questionable things about Matthew and his "Law firm", even if he's brand spanking new and trying to appear very busy and established. I've had direct contact with other well-known and busy attorneys before, so this initial contact put a bad taste in my mouth.

Her mother who is her legal assistance is not very helpful, she has very short attention span. Looking back at her resume, she really did not work for any law firm before starting her own, so the 12 years experience is very deceiving. She does not have the knowledge trial experience she is calming. I have never seen a small woman sweat profoundly and appear to have panic attack during her cross examinations. I heard about her through an NPR report on Wills & Estates, and a caller to the program, unsolicited, talked about how Ms. Kristianssen has saved his family a lot of money by understanding tax law implications when moving a trust / estate from Montana. She did not disappoint! She is kind, explains legal terms in a layperson-friendly way, and doesn't charge you for things you don't need (she could have charged us for updating the trust documents but told us those were fine as is.) Highly recommend. If you need to do your will or estate planning, don't wait - just DO it, already, and save your loved ones the hassle, confusion, trauma and cost of not having your estate pulled together. Our total bill was about $570. FYI, another attorney wanted to charge me $3,500 for the same work.
