We were under the impression, when I say we I'm referring to most of my subdivision, that there would be no pick up on July 4. Most of the subdivision did not put out garbage July 4. This company is the most unorganized service I've ever seen. I've had mix up after mix up getting my bins and my bill. They've gotten my address wrong twice, delivered the bins to the wrong address and not gotten me and invoice giving me a late fee because of the ineptitude of the employees. I'm renting to own my house, the owners already had Advanced. I wanted to continue as well as add a recycling bin. They sent 2 bins to my landlords new address which had my name on the order ticket. They've sent my bill to my landlord who was in Italy for a month so I got a late fee added on to my bill in which they later emailed me. I've talked to these idiots several times about the same issue. They still have not picked up the bins at my landlords. I'm very disappoint at this company service. I meant I pay trash disposal & recycling bills every month, the AD crew only pick up AD's garbage cart? not other trash bags on the ground, and extra garbage cart ( my own) next to AD's cart? Compare with Bates and Waste Management, I prefer Bates or WM to AD. because they always pick up theirs carts, even extra my own cart and up to 6 trash bags on the ground. My trash has not been picked up in two weeks. I called to let them know, and after 50 minutes of waiting to speak with someone, I spoke to someone that explained that he scheduled a pick up for the next day since they never showed up. They still didn't show up. I've called 4 times since, and have not gotten anyone to pick up. The first time I waited 45 minutes before I picked the option to get a call back, after not receiving the call back all day I tried two more times the next day (30 min on hold each time before I gave up). Now I'm currently on hold for 45 minutes so far, and I'm going to continue waiting so I can hopefully cancel today. Red oak is a much better company in the area. Check them out. Called the company the day that Minnesota required restaurants to close to temporarily cancel service. Representative said that he couldn't cancel immediately, that they would have to have a sales person call me back. That person never called, and they charged my business again for a month of service that we didn't use. Their 'manager' said that they couldn't issue refund. Restaurants are just trying to survive this pandemic; every little bit of money in the account helps. We will NEVER use this company again. Advanced Disposal has not picked up my trash for 3 of the last 4 weeks. I have called each time and each time they say they are going to investigate and see why it happened. It is a steel frame to a patio chair. Tried to call them multiple times. Of the one time I did get a person, I was transferred and other times I was on hold for over 40 minutes. This company sucks!!! Stay away, never use them. They are disorganized, never on time, they charge you $75 extra when they show up late and you're not there!!! When you call they are clueless, and they don't have your records! I paid my bills for the two dumpsters right away, more than $1,000. Now they are billing me almost $700 for extra tonnage!!! My dumpster was actually light, mostly clothes and paper, no metal or heavy furniture. I have pictures! They claim I'm a few tons over, which is impossible. Our previous trash collection service was purchased by Advanced Disposal over a year ago. The service remained good until the first week of January. We have had 4 pickups in 15 weeks and all but the first pickup has required multiple calls and promises for the Operations Manager to return my call but still waiting - 3 months and counting. We are cancelling the service but had to wait until the end of the 3 month billing cycle as they say they cannot issue credits for early cancellation. Now low and behold, they sent us a letter to cancel our service as they "will no longer be able to service your residence" and will be issuing a refund for the unused service period. They stated they will send a removal truck to pick up my container in a "timely manor(sic)". Not sure what has happened with this company and specifically my route but for 2016 they receive a major fail. read more

Wish I could give them no stars . . . I've been on hold for over 40 minutes trying to talk to someone about our price increase of 16.7% with no increase in services. The one that got me was the fuel fee increase of 35.7% - - - what? Gas prices are the lowest they have been in years. The compliance and business impact fee went up 226%. I am going to cancel and go with Waste Management -- same service for $119.07 versus Advanced Disposal price of $201.33. My rates have been going up for over a year non-stop, at my small business. I shopped around and found I was being over-charged by $400 per month! I am stuck in a contract. I mentioned about the Right to Compete Clause. They agreed to drop my rate, but my renewal date also changes. I said I would only take a one year contract. This company does not do as advertised on their website. They state: "YARD WASTE - Leave you grass clippings, tree trimmings and leaves (AT THE CURB), and we'll take them away with our curbside pickup service." (Two) Fridays in a row my yard bags have been left, only their container was emptied. I have pictures. Plus this Friday they did not pick up at all. Not till Saturday April 13, 2019, early morning. In addition they have a fee for "Compliance and business impact" of $4.48. It went up from $2.07. You can find this charge on their website and it will anger you to say the least. I use to pay $52.50, now it is: $61.15. You would think with all the increased cost they impose on their customers, surly they would have better service. read more

I was a customer of this business for three weeks, just fired them yesterday. I switched to them because they said they pick up recycling weekly. Well in three weeks they picked up the recycling once. That was after I called to tell them that they missed it. I emailed customer service and did not receive a reply. I called to speak with a supervisor. They told me one would all me back within a couple of hours. That didn't happen either. In total, I called them about seven times. Have to find out how to give zero stars - don't waste your time with this company. I was customer of a previous company for 15 years that AD bought out. NEVER had a problem with the prior company, and have had nothing but headaches with AD since the beginning. Like other reviews, I will repeat that we were often missed for pickup, and when you call them they give you some BS runaround and may eventually get there to pick up your trash later that week. Even when they missed, there is NEVER any kind of credit for their failure to provide the service. I keep telling them it is not rocket science, I give you money, you take my trash away. It is what you are in business to do, what is the problem?? This week was the last straw. We cleaned out the garage. We filled the AD bin, and another personal bin, and had some extra boxes. AD truck came and emptied their bin only and drove away. CRAZY bad service. I called and all they said they would do was to note on my account that I had a second bin at the curb. No offer to come back and empty it, no apology for the inconvenience, nothing. So yesterday i called Hickory Sanitation, recommended by the ladies at the HS while I was checking out my child and complaining about AD. They showed up this morning and took it all away. I haven't even started paying them yet. I think this may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Advanced Disposal can just SUCK IT. They are horrible, and I even feel badly for those who sold their company to them, what a terrible thing it must be to see the business you have worked so hard to build destroyed by this crapfest of poor customer service. I called Advanced Disposal to tell them I was cancelling my service with them and going with another provider due to high costs. They still deducted the next years payment, $487.79!! Horrible service. Called after being missed once told the roads were to hazardous. When I said really there were no level advisory's out. Then was told there were two accidents East bound and West bound so they could not get there trucks out. Nothing about two serious accidents in the local paper shutting down a State Route. I was told the trash would now be picked up Saturday. No trash service again even after I called Saturday morning to confirm there would be service on our street over flowing with trash now at this point. We are gluttons for punishment. My household had been a loyal customer of this unworthy business for 12 years, up until this month. After the third missed trash pickup over the past several months, we decided to cancel service with Advanced Disposal. Now they seem to be unwilling to pick up their trash barrel, which has been sitting at the end of our driveway for two weeks. I'm sure my neighbors & HOA will have something to say about it soon. If your choice is between selecting Advanced Disposal for your residential garbage pick up or allowing the smelly trash to build up and overtake your home, I would seriously consider choosing the garbage pile. Always have good service from the Ball Ground, GA office. They are very personable and professional, go out of their way to resolve the issue (call Dispatch to get more detailed information), and they genuinely want to help their customers. We have had Advanced Disposal accounts at different home addresses and have had very good service at both locations. We have also had accounts with other trash removal service companies in various locations (Illinois and Georgia) and Advanced Disposal performs comparably (if not better) than the other companies. read more

I would really like to give a big fat 0 to this company. I have been with then for 5 months and I have had to call 9 times to get my recycling picked up after it was missed. I had called them the day after my service when they missed it and it still was not picked up here we are on a Monday and it is still not picked up. Managers and supervisors will not call you back so I went ahead and called the corporate office and waiting for them to call back. Emailed and called to have our cart replaced. The wheel came off after 20 years. I was told at the end of January to be sure to leave the cart at the roadside and it would be replaced.
