We always take in our aluminum after it's stripped/clean. It's great their huge white poster boards are posted so you don't constantly have to ask the prices. Plus, you could take a photo of the prices so next time your curious and getting ready to take a load down of whatever. Look through your phone for their prices. Best of all such an easy place to get in & out of no matter the size of your vehicle.

The business recently relocated to 3225 E 36th Street in early December 2025. This location is bigger and makes it easier to get in and out of, especially for larger vehicles. For cans, simply drive up to the "Small Scale" in the corner and the employees will take your bags of cans and weigh them for you. You then get a chit which you take back to the office and then take the receipt with the QR code to the ATM for your money. So it's a three step process. I've been going to Desert Metals now for ten years and have always been treated well. When the ATM machine doesn't work, an employee will help me out. While this location is bigger, the ground is dirt. Heavy rains on New Years Day made the ground rather muddy when I got out to unpack my bags. The mud is my only complaint about this new location.
