Sometimes when choosing a roofing company a person is left with few options and exceptions. My townhouse is one of those exceptions. Each unit being individually owned without a coop gives each homeowner liberty to do what they like. The downside is when we share a common roof and everyone decides for themselves about replacement. That being said I contacted at least a dozen companies last fall for a roof replacement only to be turned down since my unit sits in the middle of the complex. Of the few that agreed to work with me only Prescott gave me and my adjoining neighbors peace of mind by agreeing to work in the "transition areas" and extending their 15 year warranty to those areas so that the neighbors would approve the work. I also checked their references and got good reports from the people I spoke to. I highly recommend anyone considering a business to ask for and check their references. My roof was nearing the end of it's life and to avoid any potential water damage I was able to contract with them last fall for this year's project. Prescott roofing offers financing but if you pay by check you get 2% discount. With the trend of roofs now going to dimensional shingles I figured my 3 tab shingles up there weren't long for this world. The quote seemed high but the other few I did receive were higher than theirs especially for 3 tab shingles. With a few "hiccups" along the way my roofing team finally came out to do the job on a very hot summer day. I was very pleased with their honesty about the decking when they said didn't need replaced. That decking has been up there for many years and I was extremely concerned about the area around the ridge vent. They arranged for a dumpster to be placed on my driveway so that they could remove the debris. I was able to watch them through the install process and they answered all my questions and concerns. Since my townhouse is small they were able to complete the whole project in one day. I'm very pleased with the work they did as well as the clean up to make sure nothing got left and nothing fell into a neighbor's property. I'm very glad that they were able to "separate" my unit by installing ridge cap shingles after putting an water and ice guard shield both in the transition areas as well as the gutter lines. The workmanship is guaranteed for 15 years and they will register the shingles with the manufacturer and they in turn will send me my warranty. A new roofing system is a major investment but for me I wanted to make sure I was getting quality work for the amount of money put in. Time will tell about the new roof and how it stands up. This review will be updated to reflect that if need be but I feel confident that with them team working in near 100 degree heat that tar just immediately stuck to the new felt pad installed. So the shingles needed to be applied carefully. I'm very pleased with the work they did and more importantly to see it done properly. read more

We had a roof leak around Christmas last year. They were the only roofing company that would go up on our high roof and who actually responded professionally. We had the issue fixed no problems. We later had another issue and they came right away and our neighbor had an issue as well (it is a duplex) they fixed them at the same time. Our neighbor was grateful as they could not get anyone either and we have had no issues since. They were the only responsive roofing company. I am happy we found them! GMH read more

Wow, what absolute trash of human beings. Yesterday, 7/15/2019, these jagoffs were cutting people off on 376, weaving through traffic in their dump truck and pickup truck, and then proceeded to throw a whole cabin worth of trash at each other when they were lined up together. Most of their trash bags hit off the other truck and then just went in the road. Best part was then how the pickup truck road the exit only lane all the way till the end, and then tried to cut back into traffic. Except they couldn't fit, and they blocked a line of cars that could've moved otherwise for 30 seconds until someone let them in. It's crazy that they have other bad reviews talking about their horrible behavior while driving, and yet, they just don't care. Is that who you want to work on your house? read more

Attempted to charge $500, a price that is truly absurd, for several square feet of roofing rock / ballast removal (probably around 40 pounds of rocks); I had two other estimates of $125 to $175. The work was requested / required by the HOA, and this guy was trying to take advantage of the situation. I advised them that it was ridiculous, so they came up with an estimate of $300 and attempted to charge $370 after completing work that I did not authorize to begin. Ultimately settled for around $300. Use another roofing company, one with ethics. read more

I hired WM Prescott to repair a leak on my roof. After the repair the roof was still leaking. They returned to fix the leak. They removed the shingles above the leak, and that was it. It is still leaking. They will not provide any photos of there work. I had a company inspect there job and here is a few things he wrote about it: "Wall flashing was pieced into place and is also caulked excessively in place. Shingles in the affected area are not sealed. New shingles often do not seal to old shingles and as a result water intrusion is occurring Step flashing has been installed incorrectly. I do believe the workmanship is very poor and the skill of the repair crew to be very low. This was a rush project by someone who did not know what they were doing. I believe they have caused multiple issues and have lowered the value of the owners home." The job they did was horrendous. I was charged $1760 for them to basically nothing. I initially approached Prescott at the end of August. They finally made it out to my house in early October. After the six week wait, they told me they were scheduling 15 weeks out (well into 2019), which is kind of an absurd timeline. Also they gave me about two hours of notice after that six week wait, which I thought was highly unprofessional and rude. All of that was just the prelude: they then told me they were going to no-bid my place. I'd give them only one star except they didn't even get the chance to do bad work, so I'll give them a mercy two-star rating. Bottom line though is if you can find anyone else, use them instead. read more
