Their hours are great, opening up early, 7AM and Monday through Friday closing at 7PM. But please, don't pull in at 6:50 like hey I'm going to unload. Scale closes at 6:30. Now they take almost everything. If you aren't sure, give them a call. One thing I don't agree with is they don't give prices over the phone. Their prices haven't gone up since May '13 despite the economy getting better(says who). I discovered the other day a lunch truck does stop in there so if you've missed a meal and are in the yard after noon, you could get a soft pretzel and a water. So do your part and get paid for it. Hamilton residents are able to get free mulch and compost (while supplies are available and last) at this no-nonsense facility. Drive in, and show your ID, and pull up to the giant mound and load up. That's all there is to it. I brought in a few empty cat litter buckets to fill with mulch, and now my garden beds look nice. I saw some folks with much larger garbage cans, and a few people with landscape bags -- it's all about what you can carry and load. The hours aren't great -- I think they close mid-day during the week, with one long day, Wednesdays, until 5:30, I believe. I don't think they have weekend hours. This works to help men and women who recycle the valuable parts for sale and receive training also in anger management and skills to help them get and keep a job. I have been going there for about 5 years. My late husband was a hoarder and I took carloads of old computers, TVs and miscellaneous clutter to them when their location was on Walnut Lane. I also will give a monetary donation which they need badly to carry on the work that is so needed.
