However, this time he just jerked us around. After 2 weeks of texts, he finally said he would come over. turns out that was just to look at the job. He said he would be in contact to me to let me know when he would come. I did not hear back. so I waited two more weeks and I contacted and said if he could not do this, I could find someone else. He dragged replying to keep us on the limb and said it would be in May, 6 weeks away. Two and a half months after my initial contact. I again said I could get someone else if he was too busy. No, he could do it. He did not give a date. I wrote back in two more weeks and he said he would do it on May 22. This was on April 22. We decided to wait for him. So today, he had not shown up and I texted him at 10:40 to see when we could expect him. He said 4:00. This was to change out outlets and put in 6 bucket lights in the ceilings. He showed up at 4:30. Oh, and he said he had not known about the lights. I said I had the texts. He looked at his records and said he had forgotten them and was very sorry for forgetting but he could do the job tomorrow. I was not pleased and told him so. He kept walking around and doing nothing. I told him he would need to get started if he was to ever finish the job. I went into another room and the next thing I knew he had left. I texted hI'm to see if he was going to do the job. (He did not say goodbye or let us know he was leaving.). No, he was not going to do the job. After I waited more than 3 months and he shows up at 4:30 on the day he promised, finally, to do the job. Of course I was upset with him for having me wait 3 months, then forgot what he had promised to do, did not contact me -- ever -- timely. I would never recommend him to anyone. So what if he did do some jobs previously and I was happy. Being treated like this by a contractor does not make me want to use them again. And I will not. Oh, he said his first mistake was that he knew he couldn't do the job when I first contacted him for at least three months and he should have told me that so I could get someone else to do the job if I did not want to wait that long.
