There's a large parking area, and the trail crosses through downtown Spring Valley less than a hundred yards away from the park entrance. Head north to Xenia, the nexus of a few different trails, or head south towards Caesar Creek State Park and on towards Cincinnati. The main drawback that we have noticed for starting at this park is the lack of bathrooms. Maybe in warmer months they bring in port-a-johns. Head here as a place to start your adventure on the trail and head downtown for a quick meal afterwards.

Could it use some updates, sure, but I'm sure Kettering is getting there. The front of the park is a skate park and the back has a playground, path, disc golf course, picnic shelters, and a pond. The park also leads you to the Kettering Rec Center. I love that the park is rubber mulch. I also like the really cool and unique play structure. I do not remember the pond being so big so I feel like that has had an upgrade in the last few years. It looked nice. I'm not sure if you fish there or not. I do think they need to figure out how to get bathrooms back near where the shelters and playground are because if not you are walking up to the way front. The paths are in nice condition and connect to the neighborhoods for longer walks or runs.

Miamisburg has just spent the last year updating the entire park at Sycamore Trails. It has ungone…read morea major facelift. We have two new car entrances at Maue and the other one Heincke by the pool. The original entrance is now a pedestrian entrance. There is a roughly 2 mile paved path through the park and along Heincke/Maue. The disc golf course was updated. A new pond was added with catch and release fishing available. A beautiful and big new playground was added inside the park. At the top of the park on Maue are brand new tennis, pickleball, and basketball courses. There are also an adult and kid workout area including a timed 50 yard dash! There are brand new bathrooms inside the park and at the top. There are also two new picnic shelters in the same places. The sledding hill is still accesible. We also have new access to the creek with some new fossils signs coming in the next year. The trails are supposed to be more open and clearer to follow now as well. I cannot wait to make more memories with my family and friends at this beautiful new park!

The new playground is so awesome. It has a lot of things for the kids to do. There is a small splashpad. I and my kids wished they would have built a bigger one that was more fun for all ages, not just little kids. The new stage area is so nice. It offers tiered sitting, which is wonderful for all the concerts and shows that get offered. The bike path is in nice space and connects beautifully to the paths inside the park. The updated bathrooms are nice too. I would appreciate them leaving them open longer throughout the year for those still using the park.

My husband and I bought 2 new phones. My phone locked up. I took it to the Fairborn store and the…read moregirl there very rudely said she couldn't do anything for me ,even though the receipt said you had 7 days for return. She screamed at me and said that's not their policy. I said then I want my money back she said I can't do that. I left very upset. The next day my husband and I went back. We literally took 2 steps in the door and she screamed at me and said I told you yesterday that I couldn't do anything for you . My husband said the receipt said we had 7 days she retorted THAT'S NOT OUR POLICY ! We all started hollering and she said we were in her personal space and she was calling the sheriff. We were on the other side of the counter! She kept repeating this so we left. THIS is customer service ? This girl needs to be fired! We will never go back to the Fairborn store again. We've talked to another Cricket store on Wilmington and that nice young man said he will do anything we need. By the way we are elderly people. She really does need to be FIRED !!!

There's a gazebo and a swing that makes things feel evening a little romantic. Also, how fun is it to see deer everywhere? My little boy loves the playground near the main parking lot. I'm sure he will be happy to explore the other two playgrounds that this park features. The only downsides? Very little shade, wandering skunks and no swings for the kiddos.
