I cannot understand anyone giving Saratoga Dermatology and Medical Spa anything under 5 stars! I…read moreget it, nobody enjoys getting things cut off however Jennifer Smith MD knows her business and gives excellent advice. I have to admit I am not always happy directly after a procedure but the results speak for themselves... I moved up here from the south and had to have more than 5 separate procedures including MOLS procedure on my nose and recently had my annual assessment. I had a few spots that just required freezing and Dr. Smith recommended a cream to be applied two times a day to the face for 5 days. Following the instructions I saw no changes until the third day when a slight tingling sensation. The 4 and 5 the tingling sensation turned to slight burning sensation like sunburn. This chemical peel process has given me more compliments than anything I've done in 10 years including losing 25 lbs... Thanks Dr. Smith!

This place is a joke! I wised I read the reviews before I was referred here. Data does not lie and…read moreso many people have had negative experience with this place and the provider. The reviews go back to almost 10 years! The place has made no changes and that should say something! Just saw them a couple weeks ago and saw Buhac. I was in the office for all of 5min for them to prescribe the same medication that was not working from a previous provider. The doctor hardly came in the room and barely checked me. I self diagnosed myself and was in and out. They had the audacity to bill my insurance $600 for 5 minutes. I had a deductible I was happy to pay to get rid of them. These people do not care about patient service or the concerns of a patient. These two things are paramount in the health industry! People need to be able to trust doctors! As someone who has worked in healthcare, this establishment is embarrassing. There are more receptionists there than patients and they are too busy socializing when there is a line. They never answer their phones and you have to use an app to communicate. God forbid anyone should talk to a person, but if you want to make a payment, they are quick to call you back.

She worked out an issue I've been having with my back for months. It was only an hour but felt like more. I will DEFINITELY book with her again. I booked a Nourishing & Re-balancing facial. After looking over my skin, the tech she said recommended a vitamin C facial. At no time did she say...oh by the way this will add $33 to the cost. And added a $21 eye/forehead mask without telling me. So great experience until I went to check out. The additional $54 was a surprise.

My husband and I were treated at Complexions Spa for four treatments over two different days. The…read moreenvironment was very serene and relaxing, and the treatment providers were very good and very professional. Unfortunately, the reservationist, front desk staff, and spa attendants made many mistakes, lacking a significant level of professionalism you would expect at a spa of this caliber. These problems included making a mistake on the second day with one of my reservations where I was sent a male instead of female massage therapist for a 1.5 hour massage. When I brought it to their attention, the massage therapist (not the front desk administrative person) offered a half hour massage with a woman instead of 1.5 hour to "fix" the mistake. I told them I wanted to speak with the front desk person and strongly objected to the supposed solution; they came up with an hour massage with a free add-on (hot stone massage). I had to work hard for this - they made things much more stressful than it should have been. They also told us wrong information about their tipping policies for certain massage therapists and made it really difficult to tip people, did not tell massage therapists to wear masks for both of us (which we had requested ahead of time and they had done the first day), had a cold spa attendant greet us who was suppose to make us feel welcome but lacked warmth and social graces, another spa attendant touched me repeatedly (which you do not do with out consent), etc. When the owner, Denise DuBois, called to talk about the numerous problems I had outlined in an email, she was highly defensive. I felt SO tense and uncomfortable with how she behaved towards me that even though she apologized for our experience at the spa and ultimately offered two free massages (for myself and my husband), I/we could never imagine going back there; we did not accept the offer. We do NOT ever want to go back there again. There was a significant lack of warmth and empathy for the level of problems and mistakes from staff and the stressful impact of this in real time and when discussed later - it was quite shocking. We have been to spas and all types of treatment providers in the U.S. and in Europe and have never been treated so unprofessionally by the administrative end of a business. It clearly comes from the top down and is very problematic. Added note: I have a friend who warned me against this place, because she had been there a half dozen times, and they made a mistake every single time with her reservation. When I told this to Denise Dubois, she wanted to know the name of my friend (talk about this request being inappropriate), and she found it hard to believe what I was saying (again, inappropriate). I was really taken aback; a professional does not do this. My friend recommended another spa in Saratoga Springs that she loves. I am going to try them.
