This review is for "D-Rail" at Wolfman's CB Shop. While I generally try to avoid leaving businesses negative reviews, my experience warrants sharing. Wolfman's CB Shop is often recommended as a reliable destination for CB radio repairs; however, my experience has been the opposite. I own 12 Galaxy cb and 10 meter radios. I brought in two Galaxy radios (98VHP and 95T) for what were initially minor repairs. Unfortunately, both units were returned in significantly worse condition. After hours of working on the 98VHP it was damaged to the extent that it had to be sent out to Don's CB Shop for repair, at my own expense. Additionally, the shop does not allow customers to drop off equipment, requiring you to remain on-site during service. While I don't mind this as long as the repairs would have been made correctly as I made three separate trips, each approximately a four-hour round trip, and spent between six to eight hours waiting each time. Despite this time investment, neither radio has been restored to "normal" working condition. I didn't want anything tuned just repaired but D-Rail pushed for tuning saying both the radios "are lighting up all over the place" so I opted for basic tuning. That's where the problems started. After the process, responsibility for the issues was consistently attributed to my other equipment, including antennas, coax and microphones (both stock and astatic), all of which were newly purchased. According to D-Rail everything I have is junk. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the matter, but D-Rail declined to warranty the work he performed or offer any refund. Furthermore, I was told that my expectations were unreasonable and I'm being picky for wanting all original features, such as lights, talk back, switches and etc., to function properly. I mean why wouldn't I? After "tuning," the radios now produce muffled audio, excessive squealing, and the 95T has a no receive problem & siren-like problem on transmit, rendering them effectively unusable. Prior to service, these radios performed reliably and had excellent range; now they struggle to transmit 5 miles. I've swapped radios between trucks. Its in the radios not the trucks. I documented these issues through videos on both ends and attempted to review them in person but D-rail said he "knows what they sound like over the air" & was to arrogant to watch and listen dismissing my concerns without evaluation. I also received conflicting information regarding technical capabilities on a new President Richard I purchased. For example, I was told that adjustments to a President Richard CB Radio service menu could not be performed due to either lack of knowledge or just unwilling to work on it; however, shortly afterward, I observed video evidence he posted online suggesting otherwise. Overall, this has been a costly, time-consuming, disappointing and frustrating experience. Based on the outcome I have received: the quality of work, lack of accountability, and poor customer service, I cannot recommend this shop, especially for Galaxy radio repairs. read more

The Wolfman CB Shop is one of the best CB shops in the NE Georgia area reason why I say this? The guys who run the place D-Rail and D-Wind are one of the best technicians out there. They know how to work on CB Radios of any kind you have. How are the attitudes from them? Very upfront, honest, won't steer you in the wrong way and want to make sure you are happy with your purchase. These guys have been in the CB Radio hobby for a very long time so I believe they know what they are doing to their radio or another customers radio of any kind. Have I been to them or just talk to them on the phone or message? I did both..At first I messaged them and spoke with D-Rail and told him what I was looking for and we spoke for a good ten minutes and he told me what he suggest and I made up my mine few days later. Before the second trip to his CB shop I went two months ago and looked around and see what have for sale...I had a Magnum S9 already and just needed a different microphone at the time so I bought a Astatic D104 hand microphone and it sounded great with my radio. Now for the yesterday's visit to Wolfman CB Shop I went there and speak to both D-Rail and his brother (D-Wind) and I purchased a Stryker 955 radio from D-Rail and so far I am very happy with the sound of the radio and how it works. They also have a antenna installer named Casey that works for them he does everything such antenna, power cable installs, antenna checks, antenna swrs and etc. How is the parking here and is it easy to get to from the Interstate? Yes, there is plenty of parking at the shop if you are traveling thru in a tractor with/out I recommend parking by the dumpster for easier access for you guys and ladies to get out of the parking lot. Does this shop get busy? Yes, Very much so they get extremely busy during the morning time when they open the doors for business. Best thing to do when you come make sure you come early because people come early morning. Keep in mind the shop for now is kinda small in size so get ready to either wait inside in a small area or wait in your vehicle for your turn. What kind of radios do they offer for the customer? They have Stryker, Galaxy, Cobra and other radios as well. What about antennas? Yes, They have a big selection to choose from. How about microphones? Yes!!! They have different kind. External speakers? Yep, They have those too. You won't be disapointed when you come to visit the guys at Wolfman CB Shop. read more

These guys are the biggest scammers I have ever come across. I spent over $700.00 with them only to have my equipment burn up. I brought it back to them 4 day's later and they told me they not only couldn't fix it,they also told me they give no warranty on their own radio. I will never come back. I have had a couple of D-Rails cb's, and by far the best I've ever owned. Their honesty & customer service is second to none. My locals on my base, along with the truckers while I'm on the road give me nothing but compliments on the clarity, and that unmatched D-Rail audio! They have all the newest state of the art test equipment, and scopes that are certified, and the most innovative Tech's to do the job correctly. Great little shop. Wolfman's sons now run the business. "DRail," "DWin," Casey. They seem like honest, smart, educated young guys. The Ole Rugged Cross still stands at the entrance of the parking lot. They are friendly, courteous, and have a sense of humor. They will explain things to you in detail. I enjoy the education, but it can go over my pay grade, lol. They stand behind their work. They test much of the equipment, peripherals, etc they sell, extensively, looking for the best products to recommend to their customers. The new shop has seating, and coffee. It looks like a bar, but no alcohol, lol. They have a very expensive looking equipment diagnostics and testing bench. No truck stop swr meter, or cheap modulation meter only, snip and clip shop here! Actual techs! Great "out of the box thinking," original customized radio setups! Never seen such work anywhere else! I love the work they did on my Ranger. I get compliments all the time on the quality of the sound, including over skip. True custom work! Great shop! read more
