History

Established in 2001.

My journey into photography began long before Woller Photography officially opened. At a very young age, my mother told me I should become a photographer. It took nearly a decade, and a career in newspaper journalism, before I finally listened. Today, I hold degrees in photography and have taught photography and journalism at Bethany Lutheran College for nearly 25 years. While the industry has evolved from film to digital, my passion remains the same: creating meaningful images and heirloom artwork that will be cherished for generations.

Meet the Business Owner: Denice W.

I am a portrait artist, educator, and lifelong photography enthusiast based near Mankato, Minnesota. While I spend much of my time creating portraits for seniors, families, branding clients, and legacy projects, I still enjoy exploring traditional photographic processes, including film and cyanotype art. In fact, the deep blue tones of cyanotypes inspired my logo. Whether I am documenting a farmer's legacy, creating branding imagery for a business owner, or photographing a senior in Minnesota or on a destination experience, my goal is the same. Be Authentically You is my mantra for good reason. When I am not behind the camera, you can usually find me teaching photography or journalism at Bethany Lutheran College. Traveling, spending time on our small farm, and being with family are also important. I believe the best portraits begin long before the camera comes out—they begin when people feel known, not just photographed.
