Only when it was obvious that the Legal Ombudsman would find in my favour did they cave in and pay me proper compensation, including the substantial costs of getting another solicitor to finish the job. By settling my claim there was no record with the Ombudsman or the SRA of their failures and other clients remain at risk of their incompetence. There are plenty of other firms in Birmingham who can do the job properly. Avoid Lia Solicitors.
