We recently had Women At Work paint our kitchen cabinets. They did a fantastic job. Very detailed, very professionally done. They worked in our kitchen and treated it as if it were their kitchen! They outlined the detailed process of priming and then applying three coats of paint and executed the process perfectly. On a scale of 1 to 10 they earned a 25!!!!!!!! Bear with me this will be long. I am writing this because I hope others can avoid this mess. I inquired about getting the deck prepared and refinished by this company. I was given a quote and strongly told to only do oil based satin for the finish. I don't know what should be used so I listen to the owner and I thought expert on this. It took a while before they inquired about coming to do the job. I assumed it was due to weather so no big deal. Finally set up for it to be done after several weeks. We removed everything off deck ourselves. They sanded and stained deck over a two day period. All of this went well. It was dry and warm in fact one of the days very warm. I was told to not let anything even pets on deck for 24-48 hours which I painstakingly did. Even went longer than that due to weather and was away from house some. As seen in pictures below once we did go on the deck, all these marks, discolorations, pet paw prints and foot prints adhered to the deck. They do not come off.! We informed owner and she has been out twice, trying to scrub the prints and marks off with a brush and to use paint thinner to try and remove. She informed us after talking to the stain distributor, that this oil stain can take a long time to cure and weather here is unpredictable needs to be dry and warm. She then said she can't know the weather. I think those variables should have been discussed initially , when quoted, and the unpredictable weather in central NY is not a new concept. We would not have done oil based if we had this knowledge. Something I think she should have fully know from her distributor before doing the deck. My husband has tried three times with no success to lightly power wash and remove the worst of the marks. Something perhaps this company should have done. This was not cheap and we the customer have done everything exactly as we were told to and are left with this messy deck. The owner's position is she can't control pets and people walking on it or the weather. Did she think we were never going to walk on it or have cold, damp, rainy weather? Just ridiculous! Never has she offered any compensation returned to us, which would have gone a long way in how we feel about it. Awful professionalism! Now I know one should not use oil based deck stain unless certain of a good week or more of dry, hot weather and even then not so sure a good idea around here. So disappointing. Would absolutely not recommend. read more

Very disappointed. Received and accepted an estimate in May. When I asked for a schedule I was told my job was about a month out (June) . it is now near the end of August. I inquired again as to schedule, and was asked for my address, which I provided. Never got a response. Meanwhile, they were running ads on tv looking for work. read more

I would recommend them without question. We had them paint our kitchen cabinets and it feels like a new kitchen. They did an excellent job. It was about a 2 - 3 week process, but not too invasive. We utilized the included consult with the interior decorator who was also spot on. They came out quickly on a weekend to give me a quote and then I delayed them for a few months as we had other things come up. Barb was very understanding, when I called back a few months later they were super prompt in starting and finishing my beautiful "new" kitchen! Very happy, would use them again and again! read more

I had an appointment for Barbara to come out and give me a quote for painting my Kitchen Cabinets. She was suppose to arrive between 9:00 - 9:30......she never showed up. I waited for her until 10:30. She never called or anything. They are horrible to deal with. Their are other painters out there that are just as good if not better. Dont waste your time with them. They never keep or show up for appointments. read more

Terribly unprofessional. I had a scheduled appointment for an estimate to have the entire interior of my home painted. The appointment was for 3:30. At 4:00 the owner called and stated that due to the weather (it was a snowy day) she was running behind and wouldn't be able to get to my house until 6:00/6:15. At 7:22, she called and said she wouldn't be able to make it over. Ok, I get the weather, but why didn't you call earlier??? She asked if she could come the next afternoon, which I agreed to. She never came the next afternoon and never called to reschedule. I will never know the quality of their work because they can't keep an appointment nor call me prior to being late. Apparently they have no respect for their potential customers time. Not worth the headache. read more

I hated my 80's dark cabinets and today my white cabinets were finished. Happy Dance!!!!!! From the estimate through to the final product I couldn't be happier. Julie returned calls promptly and graciously and quickly addressed any issues along the way (including talking me "off the ledge" when I panicked having mixed up the hinges I painted!). Mariah (sorry if I have misspelled you!) did our in house painting and I cannot praise her work enough (her disposition was also a pleasure!). Her attention to detail and professionalism were top notch. The doors and drawers were painted off site and that team was also great. If you are considering doing this do not hesitate using them. I absolutely love my white cabinets and honestly they have changed the entire look of our home. read more
