4.5 stars. Women's Health Connecticut opened in 1997 for, you guessed it, women's health. It's an Obstetrician and Gynecologist office with multiple locations; there are approximately 90 locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The offices has in office services such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and screenings. It's a huge network and a great asset to the community. From annual well women visits, pregnancy care, and menopausal care, they are a one stop shop. As a human and woman, it is my due diligence to take care of my health, for obvious reasons. I like to be proactive versus reactive. I called to book my annual visit and the next available appointment they had was 3 months out. This seems to be a common occurrence with getting appointments at doctor's offices here in CT. They will send you a link a few days prior to your appointment to fill out all your data and pay the copay. I did that and a day before the appointment, my appointment was cancelled because the doctor had to take the day off, last minute. I understand stuff happens so I called the office to reschedule. They had an appointment for me within the next two weeks but I needed a specific day due to childcare, that was another 2 months out. The day of the appointment came, the building was easy to find and parking was plentiful. The check in was quick and easy and everyone was friendly. The medical assistant took my vitals and etc. My provider was Kathleen Miller, MSN, APRN, C-EFM. She was very friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and thorough. There is an online portal to see your data and results after the appointment. Mammograms can also be done in the same office. Overall, aside from some minor scheduling issues, I really like this practice and feel comfortable going back for my annual visits. read more

Dr Fagan is nothing short of amazing!! Words can't say. She is amazingly experience and knowledgeable She is caring and she has an incredible bedside manner. She goes above and beyond and shows compassion and concern. Her personality is wonderful and quick under pressure. Have to say a life saver! God Bless her!! read more

Dr. Fagan is the BEST OB I've ever had. She's kind, caring, listens, and most importantly remembers who you are when she sees you! She delivered my daughter back in March and was beyond wonderful - especially when things got scary. As a first time mom, it was important that I felt comfortable and safe -- she did just that and even checked in on me the next day. I can't thank her enough for the extra care she took for my family and I. Dr. Fagan gets 5 stars! This practice however, upset me a lot. While the ultrasound tech was a sweetheart and some of the PAs and other OBs are kind, some of the office staff and the billing department need to do better. Without going into too many specific details, I'm very displeased with the lack of empathy I received and the poor treatment I got when trying to pay a bill. Yes - I called them multiple times to settle a bill during the pandemic -both my husband and I unemployed- and was talked to 1. condescendingly, 2. told I should have "planned better and set aside about $800 a month" because "it was not their problem I had a high deductible insurance plan" and when I told them I couldn't afford that with all of my other expenses i.e. food, a roof over my head - basic needs... that I was 3. "refusing to work with them and since I wasn't being told what I wanted to hear and not backing down I'd be sent to collections". Once my daughter was born, basic human kindness went right out the window. I will not be having another child with this practice, regardless of which insurance company I have, and will have to ignore the great care I got. Unfortunately I lose having a fantastic doctor whom I'm comfortable with because of this poorly handled situation. read more

I was going to this practice for a short time as a client. they had someone from the Glastonbury office, I think, meet with me. I discussed some personal matters with her. for her part, I believe she behaved in an inappropriate, (if not bizarre manner). she left off by saying to let her know "how things went on the weekend ". well I gave our meeting some thoughT, and left her a few voicemails over the weekend with my concern. for my part, I could have waited till the workweek to call her. HOWEVER, I am not a "wait & see type " person! Then this person had the audacity to pass my voicemails on to her supervisor. WITHOUT my permission! then said supervisor callEd to rant at me, and to tell me that I was the worst person ever! she said I could have my say, but hung up on me instead! can anyone say vindictive, unprofessional, inappropriately controlling & disrespectful?! read more

I still tell my friends about the first time I went to the gynecologist (Dr. Fagan). As a worried teenager afraid I had been exposed to an STD, I somehow ended up with a referral to her office, and my PCP had nothing but glowing things to say about her. I was really worried, and naturally asked some questions, but instead of answering them, she replied with "I'm not your mother." I regularly use this story as a way to encourage my friends to go to Planned Parenthood instead, which is where I went from then on and consistently received nothing but exceptional care. I'm sure patients like me are not the kind she'd been used to dealing with, but this was a very stressful situation that was not made any better by her upsetting comment. read more
