NO professionalism from the Dr or his "med students" or staff. Waiting and waiting to be embarrassed and put on sample medication that sample hasn't even been out on the market and ask me to come back and tell him how it's going. No!!! Each time paid cash and then send me another bill for $30 that could have been paid at the time of service not sent later in the mail & FOR WHAT I HAVE NOT BEEN HELPED! I found these doctors on my insurance website and chose them because they were in-network and 2 miles from my house. I have no connections to them and didn't read any reviews. I just wanted to make an Appt and be done. I made the appointment for my women's well exam and was advised that I would be seeing the Nurse Practitioner for my appointment. Personally, I have always preferred the nurse practitioner with any specialist because they seem to have great bedside manner. The night before my appointment, I looked up the address and came across these yelp reviews. I came real close to calling and cancelling because of the negative reviews. I went anyway and just wanted to get it completed. I am so glad I went! The NP that assisted me was amazing. She listened to me, provided excellent advice on my questions and also provided things that I wasn't even aware of. I seriously will be going to this office now for any and all obgyn related needs I have. The negative reviews I read appear to be pretty old, a year or older. I am thinking they may have new office staff because everyone was great. read more

The wait is horrible each and every time. The nurse acts like you're bothering her and always rushed. Then the doctor walks in after long waits and rushes through the visit. They speak poorly about patients just outside the patient rooms within earshot. Extremely unprofessional office all around! Save yourself a ton of grief and find another provider. read more

This office staff is unprofessional The male doctor does not take time out to listen I was there today for a biopsy and was laid out on the floor half naked in excruciating pain & uncontrollable sweating while the nurse walked out & left me there only to comeback in asking me did I need a drink of water giving me 2 Tylenol After 20-30 minutes I pulled myself up off of the floor barely being able to walk & I still had to reschedule my follow up Because I couldn't stand, I had to sit on the floor until it was my turn to get my follow up appt from the receptionist There is no sensitivity from the staff in this office They do not return phone calls and very seldom answer the phones The test results I have had in the past were not given to me until almost 30 days later This is no place to be for any woman experiencing any kind of gyno issues Update- I went back for my biopsy results today & I saw the midwife Judy Harris who I will say was professional & very compassionate read more

If i could give it a 0 i literally would. My appointment was at 10:30 and didnt get sent in until 12:10, i was waiting in the room for more than 30 minutes until finally a nurse came in and said that the doctor had to leave due to an "emergency". I came all the way from the valley since i study over there to come to my scheduled appointment to see the baby and all for nothing, i explained the situation to the nurse and didn't seem to care at all. Do not recommend. Went here for an IUD removal and was told that it was too hard to remove and I would need a more complicated procedure to remove the IUD. Was given the run-around regarding pricing and location of services (hospital vs in-office) due to lack of communication from all members of office (Dr, staff, etc). Went to get a second opinion and the new office was able to remove IUD with no problems, special equipment, or hospital procedures. My meeting with the doctor also felt rushed (waited 1.5 hrs for a meeting that took 5 minutes) and had lack of details toward the procedure they were recommending or medication that was prescribed. I think this office was unprofessional and would not feel comfortable as a young woman wanting to become a first time mother with going through the pregnancy process with this office. read more

The wait is horrible. I made an appointment earlier in the week and was considered new patient because I have not visited the office in two years. Ok fine. I get there at appointment time and wait and wait and wait. I get up to ask are the doctors in, the receptionists says "yes the dr are in". I look at how long I have been waiting 45mins and ask how long is it going to be. She says I am next and as soon as a room is cleaned and cleared for me. Now an hour into waiting no one comes out and steady people coming in and signing in to see Dr. I finally give up and leave. That is ridiculous to wait an hour or more. Looking for another Dr. If you like to spend your day waiting to see a Dr this is the place for you! read more

Horrible office! The front desk staff is ok, but the buck stops there! I have to wait AT LEAST an hour everytime I come. I end up literally falling asleep in the waiting room. This last time was exceptionally poor and it will be the last time!! Dr. Dafashy is NEVER in office. When he is, he spends two seconds with you. I can't imagine why they're ever behind. Both Dr. Ou and Dr. Miller missed the fact that Losartan (a medication for high blood pressure) should be stopped prior to trying to conceive due to high risk of birth defects or fetal death. Both doctors allowed me to stay on the medication once I decided to stop birth control (met with Dr. Ou) and then during my first pregnancy with Dr. Miller (which ended in a miscarriage). Dr. Miller also suggested that I needed 2 separate D&C procedures at 6 weeks pregnant (to rule out ectopic pregnancy) and only recommended an ultrasound to verify ectopic after I questioned her. The pregnancy ended up not being ectopic and I was able to complete the miscarriage on my own after seeing a doctor not with this practice. I wouldn't recommend these doctors to anyone who is serious about starting a family. They are either incompetent in their field (you should know which COMMON medications cause birth risks) or simply do not care. I will never return to Women's OB/GYN Center. read more

The place feels dirty, no soap in waiting area restroom both times I was there. Long wait, apt was at 4:00 didn't get seen until 5:15...paid a $65 copay just to be told my lab results were perfectly normal.... I think I will look for another gynecologist. read more

Unfortunately this place has been horrible to me. I went twice and both times I waited over 1.5 hours. They also are very indirect. I was checked and just done a normal routine. My appointment for my yearly exam was at 9:00am - I got there early to do paperwork about 8:45am. I was called to the back about 9:15am. Which isn't too bad but if I had to be at work and timeliness was an issue I would've been pretty upset about the 15 minute delay. The nurse who took my vitals and took me to my room was very nice. It was a short weight for Judy to come in. I told her my concerns and she was very sympathetic and informative. The full exam took less then 15 minutes. She gave me a year supply of birth control and said if anything comes up to come back and see her. read more

I was Dr. Figueroa's patient, I emphasize was. As a year pap she was a great Dr. It was when I had trouble and had to have a surgery when the care and Dr. even caring went to crap. There so many problems I'd be here all day listening them. I'm still getting new bills for labs, that no one seems to be able to tell me what they are for. The whole process was done wrong, being that I was an established patient and there was trust. The trust was completely lost. I got better care at a different drs office to fix the problems I had and there haven't been any crazy surprise lab fees of unexplainable labs. I had hoped that this would work out, I really did. I had been searching for a month for an OB Gyn that took my insurance, but it seemed like nearly every place that did was "High Risk" only. I tried using my insurance company's website to no avail... I finally called my insurance company directly and asked for help, the first suggestion was this same brand at another branch... Google proclaimed it closed. So this was the companies second suggestion for my area. I thought to myself, "Finally, I can get a checkup and an ultra-sound and go about my business..." My pregnancies have all been unremarkable, births the same. I wont go on about how many children I have, but I am not a first time mother by any means. When my husband and I show up for the appointment, early to fill out paperwork, I am greeted with questions that have nothing to do with my visit. Along with that playing in the waiting room is a constant loop of scare tactics designed up frighten you into taking the up sell. This video has some blurbs with a grain of truth, stretched to exaggeration. Other blurbs are outright fictitious and meant to inspire hysteria. At the end of each loop is a mention of where you can find more disturbing videos for sale along with other peripherals. We were there for over forty minutes past my appointment start time. We let the doctor know that we would not be in town for the birth because we were moving. We just wanted a check up. Evidently she did not mark that down in my chart. At the end of the appointment after a cursory older tech ultra-sound the doctor said that we would have a more detailed ultra-sound scheduled and mentioned 3d. Upon getting the next appointment and ultra-sound scheduled (six hours apart because the ultra-sound techs and doctors are apparently not there at the same time) we head for home and wait four weeks for the next appointments. When we arrive for the ultra-sound I am curious if I will have as long a wait as the last time. So I asked the receptionist if they are double booked again today... She looks at me as if she is offended I could suggest such a thing. I'm not naive, I know that doctor's do this, they even do it at the VA. I can even understand to an extent why they do it. I just wanted to know how long I'd be waiting. While I am standing there she asks me if I have had the birthing fee program or some such nonsense explained to me... No, I am not going to still be here. Evidently this is not in my chart even though we very clearly explained this on the first visit. it seems this could be a problem for them because they for some reason cannot bill us until birth or five appointments or until we transfer to another doctor... This sounds fishy to me, especially since I did pay over one hundred dollars the first visit. No matter, we eventually get to the ultra-sound (The same old low tech version we got the last time btw) and it is good and the tech said everything looks healthy and she can see all four chambers of the heart etc. She even made a point of showing all four chambers to us. NO MENTION OF ANY PROBLEM WHAT SO EVER. We get to my second appointment of the day, with the doctor, six hours later, and all my labs look fine and had we gone over the billing.... Um we will not be here for the birth. Suddenly the Doctor produces what looks like a "doctored" report of how the ultra-sound tech was unable to see the heart properly and she was going to refer us to a "High Risk" clinic for another ultra-sound. We explained that the tech had told us otherwise and she pressed and said she'd have this other clinic call us. My husband even asked if it was possible she had the wrong chart. I declined to schedule any further visits with this OB Gyn. The following day the referral clinic called me to schedule an ultra-sound. I told the representative I would have to call her back because I didn't have an open date and I did not feel I would need it anyway. SHE CALLED THE REFERRAL DOCTOR TO ALERT THEM. A few hours later the original OB doctor calls me and proceeds to try and bully/harass me into doing as she said was needed. This place is boutique medicine at its worst. If this is how the other location was ran it is no wonder it is now closed. I would rather go completely out of area or even out of pocket rather than deal with these pushy scare tactic using people again. I feel that the panic or die style of this place is just too over the top, and for a doctor to outright lie to us, or at the very least for the ultra-sound tech to outright lie to us... This is inexcusable. Even the family practice place I went to that pushes Botox is not as bad as this place. (And the same place that checks my toddlers having ads designed to make me feel I am old before my time and need some filler is pretty bad) read more

While the other two reviewers may have had bad experiences ours was completely different. We had Dr. Ibe as our OB and she was terrific. I think we waited 10 -15 minutes after our appointment time on most visits. Some not at all. Since we were seeing an OB we always assumed the schedule could be off due to deliveries. This was our third kid and the wait times were a little better than the past two. I never thought much about the TV running in the lobby as we did half our visits in the South East Memorial location where Dr Ibe also practices. I sort of tuned the ads out as I have been doing for years now. As far as the care goes, it was exceptional. Having a baby by Cesarean sort of means that all the details fall away and the thing most remembered is the skill of the surgeon immediately before, during, and after the event. Dr. Ibe's laid back style coupled with her expertise when the game was on left us with a 100% positive experience. I wouldn't erase the other reviews if I could. If you want to set an appointment for 3pm (for example) and you don't want to be seen until past 5pm, this is your place. No one, I REPEAT, no one is seen on time. You might have a good experience with a dr., but don't hold your breath. We were referred by our previous OB who no longer delivers... we will make sure to let them know we weren't satisfied with the referral. We just want this to be done soon with our baby here and safe so we can move on. We went to clear lake to steer clear from Pasadena style doctors, but ended up back here thru referral. I waited an hour and a half to see Dr. Dafashy. I don't have insurance, so I had to pay $185. He gave me barely five minutes of his time, then tried to rush out the door. I wanted to ask about something else, so he said: "Oh, you have other questions...", sounding disappointed. He answered them in a big hurry, and said we'll talk more on our next appointment. I am here with my daughter for an appointment that was at 9 AM it is now 1015 we are still waiting for the doctor this place is ridiculous. As a practice manager of another specialty if I had a patient waiting in my waiting room or exam room for longer than 15 minutes I would be fired. They also hit up my daughter for a large bill for her procedure today without calling ahead of time to tell her what she was to pay. This whole place needs to have an overhaul and some lessons in customer service This place needs to get it together. She will not be back here. read more

NEVER, EVER go to this facility. I waited 58 minutes and was never called back to be seen. When I first walked in, I noticed how packed the waiting room was. I asked as I was signing-in if the doctor was running behind and was told "no". I filled out my paperwork (maybe 4 minutes) then sat and waited. And waited. And waited. I was called to get my ID and insurance card back, so at that time I decided to ask the lady behind the glass, (about 30 minutes after my appointment) how much longer would the dr wait be. I was informed, again, not much longer. Eventually, I walked back to the window and told the same girl to cancel my appointment. That I had waited nearly an hour. During this time, a side door kept opening for patients (3 total) to come out, I kept seeing the same ladies in scrubs standing and talking and laughing. I'm all for having a good time, but as a professional in the medical field, when you have an office full of patients, that is not the time. Now, in all fairness, I was never actually treated by the doctor, so she might be great. However; the experience that I had today, I will not go back nor refer anyone to this office. This was very unprofessional and now I need to take additional time off for another appointment for a different Doctor. read more

The wait was ok. I got there early to fill out new patient information and waited a total of 35 minutes. The staff was mostly professional, but Dr. Ibe had no bedside manner whatsoever. She smiled only once throughout the visit and I felt as if I was a chore to get out of the way rather than a patient with genuine concerns. Dr. Ibe came in, introduced herself and asked why I was visiting. I had two worries: I'd been bleeding for two months straight after my regular obgyn put in an iud, plus my husband could feel the plastic strings and they hurt him so I wanted a second opinion. My other concern was that I'd been showing signs of postpartum depression. My ulterior motive was that I was looking for a new ob/gyn since my regular one is a long drive through Houston traffic. For the iud, oh well, unfortunately that's normal and I'll have to wait it out. Too bad for my husband as well. Eventually the strings will either get softer or they'll move. What made me angry was the complete lack of concern over the ppd. From what I read on ppd, if you even think you might have it you need to call a dr for help as soon as possible. So when I explained all my symptoms including a personality change, stress, trouble sleeping, disinterestedness in my family, and desire to return to old habits of anorexia I guess I expected a little bit more than a shrug and "have you tried exercising? That helps some women. Try that and call if you start thinking about hurting yourself or the baby." Excuse me? I'm supposed to wait until I'm thinking about hurting my baby before getting any actual help? I know exercise releases endorphins and is recommended for people dealing with stress and depression so I understand why she recommended it, but for her to dismiss the problem with such nonchalance was frustrating. At the very least shouldn't she recommend counseling or some kind of more immediate help? It had taken a lot of effort for me to admit I wasn't ok and I was embarrassed, scared, and wanted help from a doctor. Instead I felt like all my concerns were unimportant. My visit with Dr. Ibe was shorter than my wait time and I left feeling like I'd just wasted time and effort. Maybe she was having an off day and maybe the other doctors at this facility are more professional and can treat their patients like people instead of items on a check list, but I won't be returning. read more

Unfortunately this has been the worst experience i've ever had starting with the staff being unprofessional not experienced super lazy , I was expecting my 3rd child in which my husband and I were thrilled . I had issues with the pregnancy after the first month. the staff never took a blood test they kept telling me the baby was healthy . I kept booking appointments because I FELT SOMETHING WAS WRONG I KEPT GETTING TURNED away saying I'm healthy baby is healthy doctor stated everything was fine and to resume normal activity when I was supposed to be on bed rest . I feel like I was badly neglected and even this last appointment I had to fight with the medical assistant to get me in for an ultrasound if I didn't they would have told me baby was fine and I would have went another month with a baby not growing in my uterus thank god I followed my instincts but this was a very bad ending I ended up having a miscarriage due to the negligence of the staff and doctor Defashi please do your research before booking here read more

They are generous with their time in explaining diagnoses, answering questions, and providing detailed treatment plans. I have observed Dr. Dafashy and Dr. Figueroa in surgery, and they both exhibit careful attention to detail to ensure optimal patient comfort and recovery. In addition, the medical assistants and other staff are all very helpful and willing to spend extra time providing information and help with appointment scheduling and insurance coverage.
