The negative: Every manager and/or assistant manager we have encountered here for over many years has been rude in their interactions with us. Answers to our queries are short and without a smile or pleasant comments. They've also not acknowledged us as customers if the associate has a question regarding our items at checkout. Very surprising that a Christian company would consistently employ miserable people in the managerial position. What kind of an example are they to the public of a joyful follower of Christ? And if they aren't a Christian, perhaps Hobby Lobby should be reconsidering who they hire to represent their company.

And what do you know, Yup, it's a craft store alright, juust like I thought it would be. And juust like it says on the 40 foot sign on the front of the building.    Aaaand let's see what's down Every isle why don't we. sure, great. How many glue guns does one person need? "what? nothing, nevermind" wow alot of fake flowers up in here too. And what is this thing for? "Put it in the cart already!" of course. "This place is Freakin HUGE, are you sure we can't just skip a few isles?" "NO!" [of course not I said while testing my restraints]    And then it happened. I got it, "it's all clearly right in front of me like a thousand inspirational signs which were obviously made just for yours truly. This store is actually speaking to me through it's merchandise.  W O A H ! !"   Ok, you win. You broke me. I Like This Store Now. Okay, there I said it. Can we go now? Come And Get Your Shopping On!! Internal stakeholder management issues notwithstanding (non-vendor side), the experience was wonderful from top to bottom! Having never been here, nor painted pottery since I was in 7th grade, I called Artsy to find out what to expect. Stephanie who picked up the phone didn't have the answer to one of my questions (it was her first day!), but found out and called me back right away. We walked in on a weekend morning. Sylvia, another lovely employee, greeted us and explained the process. The interior is clean, zen, cheerful, colorful, neat and well-organized. My child chose a ceramic and colors, Sylvia laid out the paints, and the père-fils duo got down to business while I settled in a nearby cafe to get some work done. (There is actually a cafe in the back of the store, but it was closed at the time as I'm told they're soon moving to a larger space up Main St.) Although FamCo's senior team member reported that the junior associate gave up halfway and significant intervention was required to help execute his vision and meet the project goal, the assignment was completed with pride, and turned out to be a perfect rainy day activity. Prices vary but most projects are under $35 at the time of writing, more for larger pieces, and includes everything (ceramic, painting, kiln firing). I wish there were some more choices but my child was happy with what he selected. The finished object would be ready to pick up in 10 days, and the senior official in charge was responsible for monitoring the schedule and ensuring timely retrieval of the gift. However, two weeks and an alarming question later ("so when are we supposed to get it?"), it was clear the directive had not been followed, and the Chairman of SteerCo was urged to "come along" on Mother's Day morning to support the final step and ensure deliverables are achieved within deadline. Once again, Sylvia met us as we picked up the finished project - which looks quite much nicer and different in its glazed and completed form than the raw material - and even kindly offered to take our family photo holding it. Artsy also offers workshops & classes, kids & adult paint or pottery parties, summer camp, and mobile events. Whether you want to paint something for yourself, make a gift for someone else, or just find something fun and crafty to do, I highly recommend them!

It was ok. There was only one person working (our "designated party host") who also was attending to multiple other painting customers and others who wanted smoothies made. She was overworked and overwhelmed. Another mother and I wound up helping the girls in the party with their slime, going so far as to grab the materials needed, hand them out, and help mix and give directions. There were other customers who even arrived, waited at the front door for 5 minutes and then turned around and left due to no one being able to acknowledge them. Our party host did the best she could given the constraints. We've been to many other birthday parties here before and we did not have the same great experience hosting ours. I received an email a few days after the party asking for my feedback, which I filled out honestly. Never heard anything back. ‍ We will return to paint some pottery, but won't ever have a birthday party here.

It is a small shop and I came in with my dress (obviously a customer). When I asked if they worked there and told them I had an appointment they said ok and proceeded to talk amongst themselves, offering no help or explanation! I waited 30 minutes for the seamstress to arrive late to my appointment! After my fitting, a few weeks went by and I hadn't heard back so I called the shop and I was told it had been done for weeks! Wtf?! When I picked up my dress the seamstress did not fix what I asked her to, after stating these were easy fixes. She said she made 1 of the 2 adjustments I had asked for (you could have fooled me) and claimed we never discussed the other adjustment. It gets worse, she also STAINED my dress in 3 spots and blamed me stating that it was my makeup (it was obviously not my makeup). I told her this and she argued with me claiming that if it wasn't my makeup it was probably my deodorant or body sweat and that she didn't even touch that area of the dress. Again wtf. She told me to hand wash it and it would be fine. It's a dry clean only dress that I brought to her brand new without stains! I told her I wasn't happy with her work and she told me the dress was not flattering and it was ugly. She continued to say that she doesn't understand why I bought the dress in the first place because it doesn't suit me and no amount of alterations would make it look nice. Honestly, what a b****. She then told me about a "fat" client of hers who bought the same dress and said it looked ugly on her too. They also only accept cash, although there are no signs stating that. If you guessed she had a rude remark to make about this as well, you'd be right! My dress cost $200 and I paid her $30 to stain it and "make alterations" (that let's be honest she did not make) and to be insulted. With her shitty attitude and poor sewing skills I don't know how she stays in business. If you want someone to degrade you, she's your gal. Otherwise you can accomplish the same outcome with the sewing skills of a toddler and some kind of staining agent. 0/5 stars
