I have been to many different nail salons and never had to mention I need a design when I make an appointment for gel manicure. Especially if it's not your regular costumer, they should mention. One star but only because zero is not an option. I was a loyal customer for many years, but I have come to a point where I am tired of being yelled at for the littlest of things by David, the owner. I can count several several several times he had treated me with attitude and disrespect, but he turns to the lady sitting next to me to compliment her outfit or say something sweet to her. This company is ran like a mean highschool bully and very childish to say the least. This salon is lovely. The technicians range from excelllent to ok. They have a huge selection of colors and have techs that can do great designs. My only complaint is the owner. For some reason he acts like he is managing a country and not a small nail salon. His sense of power and self righteousness do not match his actual responsibilities. I used to love this salon. They are very clean and usually very accommodating. I wasn't going to write this review but I've been extremely frustrated. The last time I was there, August 14, I got just a pedicure. When I was leaving, I decided to rebook for another pedicure, and to also book for my nails with my favorite nail artist! I was told I could not book with her unless I spent $50+ with her. I was so upset that I didn't even return for my rebooked pedicure. I hate no showing on a business but I think it was absolutely ridiculous that I was made to feel embarrassed over how much money I was spending just to see my favorite artist. First I was happy to see a very chic nail place and had hopes for good service. The gentlemen who runs the place is very rude. I had regular manicure done there few times and a pedicure. Nothing fancy, no gel. I guess they are not interested in "cheap" jobs. After few months of getting my manicures there, the owner told me that they will stop using water to soak my fingers for cuticle removal. When I asked why, the answer was "because". No valid reason! They still use water for pedicure. There is no shortage of water in WCL as far as I know. He just let me know that if I do not like this new policy, I am free to find another place. Wow, such a beautiful new addition to WCL. The interior is modern yet cozy and it has a great relaxing vibe to it. I went with my daughter for a mani/pedi to take advantage of their grand opening special. It was a great experience from start to finish. The staff were all great, super friendly, very attentive and personable. Great pedi, loved the massage and hot stone. I will definitely be going back soon to try one of their special pedicures (probably lavender) and would definitely recommend this place. They also have complimentary wine, etc if that is your thing. I got the best manicure I've ever had here! Norma took her time and made sure every detail of my gel manicure was perfect. She shaped each nail identical to the others and the polish was applied perfectly. I also went here to get a botched lash extension job (done by The Eyebrow Threading Bar in Emerson, NJ) removed. Ally was great and took her time making sure she saved what was left of my natural lashes. She gave me great advice and I definitely will return and have my lashes done by her once my natural ones recover! Five stars isn't enough! Ali is incredible at what she does! I've never had my nails done so perfect! What a pleasant experience. She actually sculpted my nails and took the proper time to do it right. There was none of that crazy, somewhat intimidating, dental-tool-looking electric filer. After she sculpted the gel she simply filed them to buff them out. It was quick. My nails are thin, super smooth, even. They are perfect! To top it off the salon is beyond adorable! The thought that went into the rustic industrial design is top notch! Not a detail was missed! Superior saloon for sure! read more

Love this place! The staff is so friendly, the decor is so chic, they have complimentary drinks and snacks. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, so many nail polish options! I used to love this salon! Extremely clean, a wide variety of colors, very good staff! However, it is appointment only, and I have had an issue with every appointment made there in the last 6 months. I made an appointment with my favorite artist/technician for my engagement shoot, a month in advance, only to show up and have it be with someone else. The owner said they would take care of me, but really, they were just nice. My nails were not the best but hey, it's a luxury to be able to get your nails done in the first place. Last month, the owner called me to ask if I was coming in for an appointment I made 3 weeks earlier... I advised what time I was planning to arrive (later that day, 2 PM) and he was insisting the appointment was at 12 noon. He said to me "we could talk in circles, the time I had was 12 noon." I was irritated but made an appointment for the next available with my favorite artist/technician, which was three weeks out. I was advised they would again take care of me. I showed up to the next appointment 15 minutes early. The owner comes out and advised they are running 30 minutes behind and that unfortunately, they will have to put me with another artist. He looked at the books and this could not be done. Then advised I could come for the last appointment of the day.... after a long week, and scheduling my day around the original nail appointment, I gave up. The owner tried getting me into his "other salon" a mile away but they didn't have openings. I appreciate that he tried, but he blamed it all on my phone number being wrong. This salon is great if you want gel or regular mani and have no preference on artist or technician - if you want UV or Dip, they have limited people who book out weeks in advance and it is always an issue. Prices are high for the ambiance and cleanliness but you should also get what you want out of an appointment! Gorgeous salon, I wish this worked! read more

Walked in, politely tried to wait for the man to finish his phone call, which was over 5 minutes, asked for 2 gel manis and instead of saying "we can't take you" the man proceeded to take another phone call and make me wait five more minutes to process to make me ask again for 2 gel manis to then tell me to come back at 3:00pm. To which I responded "so, you don't take walk ins?" He was beyond rude and basically told me, no not today but he just took multiple appointments which I could have had if he didn't make me wait for 15+ minutes. When I called him out and said it was a horrible way to conduct business and that I've never heard of a 4 hour walk in, he proceeded to LAUGH at me. NEVER GOING BACK!!!!! read more

I was told many times that I was "annoying" because I called prior to making my initial first appointment asking them questions about the "dip powder" service because I've never gotten it before and I wanted to know more about how it's done and what they use to prevent damage. To be called "annoying" for asking about their service is also unprofessional and DISRESPECTFUL! my mom then called to express her concern as to why they are treating a loyal customer with such disrespect and not finishing my nails and she was also disrespected and rudely pushed away. I was recommended to get my lashes done here. It was hard to get an appointment as the lash tech is only in 3 days a week. The initial application looks good I was very happy with them. But now it's only been two weeks and almost ALL of them have fallen off. I will be in for my 2 week fill but I've been getting lashes for years and never have I had almost ALL the lashes fall off within this time period. I'm open to seeing what she can do to make them last longer but if this happens I again I doubt I will be returning. I don't have 2 hours to sit and get another set of lashes on every 2 weeks. read more

The place is nicely decorated inside but their customer service has a lot of improving to do. I had a steady appointment with one particular tech once every three weeks. The last few times she did my gel mani it didn't hold well at all. The gel kept separating from the nails, but the tech was nice and seemed to care to improve so I kept returning. The last time I returned they told me they messed up and mistakenly didn't put me on the schedule for that day or three weeks from then. They were all booked and wouldn't do the gel mani even though it was their error. Mistakes happen, but what was terrible is that they refused to correct it in any way. I asked for them to accommodate me, even if with a different tech because I had to go to a party that day and could not go with such terrible looking broken/chipped nails. They refused to accommodate me in any way and simply said I need to find a different nail salon to do the job that day. You just don't do this to people, and especially steady clients!
