DON'T GO THERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SCAMMED AND GET YOUR SKIN CUT! I got scammed there today. I came in for a manicure and to remove old gel. At first, a lady named Miki told me it would be $30, then suddenly she changed it to $40 because it was "hard gel." Fine, whatever. I agreed to that. Then I asked for eyebrow and lash tint -- just tint, no shaping, no waxing. My mistake was not asking the price first. When it was time to pay, Miki told me it was $50 for lash tint and $50 for eyebrow tint. I was shocked. $100 just for tinting? Seriously? Even high-end Russian beauty salons don't charge that much. Realistically, both services together should be around $50 max. This kind of pricing is ridiculous and feels like a scam, especially for a first-time customer who wasn't told the price upfront. Completely unprofessional. Moreover, I came home and under my big thumb nail was bleeding like a skin damage probably from too much nail file even I asked to be gentle...Hopefully it's not some infection. I just wanted to have a nice nail experience today but got a headache instead. I don't mind to pay a generous tip but not when every step you are getting scammed... Needless to say, I will never come back. And just so you know -- by scamming people like this, you won't go far in life. read more

When I went to use it the owner(Michele) who was very rude said I couldn't use it because it's for first time customers. I have used the Groupon many times so I did not see the fine print. She accepted the Groupon but was very rude to me and I told her that I am not coming back and she responded good don't come back. She said she's losing money so then don't be on Groupon. I would definitely have to file the overall atmosphere in Pinkie Nails under my "good vibes only" tab. The facility is very clean, well-maintained. The decor is eclectic but warm, welcoming and it works. I fancy the baby chandeliers. Regarding atmosphere, the energy is bright and happy and it's a calm and relaxing experience especially with the ADD-ON MASSAGES (my favorite part about getting my nails done)! I added a 15 min shoulder/neck massage with KIM (strong, intuitive) during my manicure with Mickey! Mickey is my go-to-girl for manicures, she is a pro at Russian manicures (super hot right now) and her personality is very bright and cheery and she has the best style. I went in for the first time to get GelX nail extensions and a pedicure today. Making an appointment online was very easy and I was taken right away when I arrived at my appointment time. The whole place was very clean and bright. Kim did my pedicure and sold me on the honey and pearl spa pedicure- it was wonderful! Rachel did my extensions and manicure. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! They will rip you off and cheat you out of money Came here with my friend, her daughter to get some stuff done yesterday. My friends daughter just celebrated her 7th bday and wanted to get her nails done - so we all came out to get a mani-pedi. I just got a pedicure. They charged me $35 for it and honestly they barely did anything - didn't file my toenails down much of any, barely touched my heel and all to get rid of any callouses. As far as my friend and her daughter as you can see in the images - these were taken when we came home. Flowers on my friends daughters toes already smeared off because they didn't do anything to seal it down On my friends nails, she got a French tip - or what was suppose to be it. No manicure given - no full service as you would get for a regular manicure. My friend asked for the same color on both toes and fingers, staff rushed doing and just said "see? Similar color. Almost same" - but when asked why they didn't use the same color - they said they didn't have it/couldn't find it. HOW?! When you JUST USED IT ON her toes?! Also as you can see in images, they were rushed so much that even the coat of nail polish was not even. Globs of paint left there and not filed properly Im not gonna say im the best to know about nails or nail care and all but this was HORRIBLE SERVICE - and for them to charge $205 all together?! My friends Mani-pedi should have been priced at $55. But with everything they did, never did they mention of ANY up charge - her mani-pedi alone ended up being $100! I just got a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed today! The pedicure was awesome. The technician was sweet and very professional. The ambiance was very relaxing. At the last minute after seeing my face in their bathroom mirror, realized I needed to get my eyebrows waxed! A technician was able to accomodate me but I feel she rushed through it and my left eyebrow is shorter than I have ever had it. She completely waxed off my arch! Luckily Target was nearby and i had to buy a brow pencil (which I never used before). I am a professional church musician and have to look a certain way. I am trilingual and speak a bit Chinese and they were offending me and calling me fat. When I sat down they didn't even wash my feet and overcharged me!! I've only gone for pedicures twice and have been satisfied with the services so far. However, management has caused my visits to be tense and uncomfortable. The first time I went, management was upset with one worker being on their phone and another for their having their hair down while working on a pedi. I understand these are good expectations to set with workers, however critiquing in front of customers was strange and awkward. The second time, they were not transparent that massages were an additional cost. Looking back, I should have just assumed, but they came up to us while getting pedis and said Here I'll give you a massage. I had such high hopes for this nail salon. My nail teach was great, she did the best she could but the management is where it really lacks. I asked for chrome nails soft gel X. Already red flag when they used regular nail to to attach gel x nails. 2 days later after getting them done 2 nails fell, then another 2 the next day. It is now 4 days since and I only have 3 nails left. I've called the manager each day to tell her how many nails has fallen and she disputed with me about how it's been a "week" since and she cannot refund me. She said that the nail tech is suppose to refund me. That's absolutely not true. You are responsible for your store and your staff. The manicurist did a fine job, but I wasn't aware that my spa pedicure was an ADDITIONAL 85 up charge on top of the gel pedicure itself (already 70). 155 for a pedicure (even with 15 min massage) is insane. The manager adjusted the price when she realized how shocked I was - but at the end of the day I spent 200 (originally 235 pre adjustment) on an extremely average gel mani pedi. This salon is a joke. The worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I made an appointment for Gel X extensions for $85 and when I got there the owner tried to tell me it would be $120. She got mad when I questioned the price and I knew I should've left right then. She spent the whole time acting mad and did a horrible job on my nails. Horrible quality work. I can't speak on behalf of anyone's experience but mine. Here's my experience... I went in to get my acrylic nails removed, and for almost any nail salon this should be a familiar process. I even called prior and asked if acrylic removal was something they could do, and they said YES. Mind you I get acrylic nails done frequently and have gotten them removed at various nail salons - the process is usually the same. Well the lady that assisted me at Pinkie Nail and Spa, instead of grinding the acrylics down to the baseline of my natural nails, took out a METRO CARD (I cannot make this up) after grinding just the polish color off, and started scraping at my nails to try and get the acrylics off. I have never experienced such pain at a nail salon. Long story short, they came off eventually. But she filed the cuticles on 2 of my fingers way too short and they started bleeding. How much. $30. It costs around $10-20 at any other normal salon to get acrylics removed. Let me be clear - IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, IT IS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF SERVICE. I would not have minded paying a little extra if it were an outstanding job. But considering what I went through, I am APPALLED. Oh btw, there's still some acrylic residue left on my nails, and my nails are bumpy :) read more

UPDATE SEPT. 2019: Pinkie still has the same owners, but changed management, so you may see some new faces. The service is still top-notch, though. I popped in the other day for my yearly "football" manicure (picture below), and Lily was a gem! She wouldn't stop until every white tip was perfect, and I truly appreciate the time and effort she took to make sure I was happy. Nail salons are so subjective and people will always have opinions, but I definitely like Pinkie. My nails always look great, I never leave unhappy (in fact, I got a gel manicure a few weeks ago and a couple of nails chipped soon after and they gladly fixed them for me at no charge), and I find their prices to be on par with other salons in the area, maybe a tad higher or a smidge lower depending on what you get. I will be back, of course! Just to note, though: They no longer accept manicure cards. They honored my filled one by giving me $10 off my manicure, but they have a new system now that gives you 5% cash back, and credit card-style membership cards that are reusable. read more

Okay, stopped for a quick gel manicure because my nail ripped . This place was in the same mall as home goods, so decided to try it out. Superb place! Will definitely come back! Pro: - clean job done by Nicole! I am super picky about my cuticles and she did a good job cleaning them up! - They were having a special due to new management, so I got regular pedi and gel mani - the foot massage was so heavenly!!! The male worker was explaining about the shape of my foot and started massaging places and it was so relaxing - the place is so clean and pretty. Very spacious and clean nail salon. They have lots of different color options and brands to choose from which is a big plus for me. They do a great job and are very friendly. They also have a optional masseuse for an extra charge if you're interested while getting a manicure. My only criticism would be that calling ahead for an appointment is pointless on a weekend and times are rarely honored. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I went in and asked for a gel manicure, I was told I would have to wait, but I should get a pedicure as I am waiting. I agreed, and as my pedicure was finishing up I was told that they have no time for a manicure today. I was told nonchalantly to come back another day (as if I have nothing to do besides get my nails done). After paying $45 for a very poorly done pedicure, I did end up going back to get my manicure & the entire process was rushed. My nails don't even look good for going 2 days in a row. I have witnessed the owner being extremely rude to not only the staff but also to customers. I have seen customers be told to leave & rushed out the door as soon as they disagree with the owner. She has such a bad attitude & has horrible customer service. I have never seen anybody in any customer service industry act so poorly & childish. If you do decide to go here, you should plan to pay much more than expected. They are always pushing customers to get more done than what was asked. If you go in for a manicure, they talk you into a pedicure. If you agree to the pedicure, they push you to also get a massage, facial - they are trying to pull money from you the entire time you are there. Makes for the opposite of a relaxing experience. This salon is the one I go to when I want that true spa experience. Upon walking in, I instantly felt relaxed as I saw the pretty plants and soft colors on the wall. The salon is in great condition with cute added aesthetic bonuses like the chandeliers above the pedicure chairs. To add to the spa experience, the staff often offers water or wine of your choice during a pedicure service.
