With someone who was born with horrible teeth, it can be a terrible experience, each and every time I am sitting on the dentist chair. I discovered Dr. Walkers office and I couldn't have been more pleased. The office staff and Dr. Walker are the nicest, funniest, and most calming people I've ever met in a dentist's office before. Not only do they understood my angst for the profession, but actually made me feel relaxed and gave me a simple explanations of how I was going to be fine.. The dentist? The big man himself is amazing. I had several appointments through the years, regular cleanings and then some dreaded maintance and they couldn't have been more of a joy to work with. Dr. Walker was the nicest man who took his time understanding my needs (and wants) and also was able to work on my teeth in a way that did not frighten me. I may be well into adulthood now, but childhood nightmares still haunt me in those offices. He was caring, never pushy, and I can't believe I'm saying this .. a dentist I enjoy seeing. That may be the first time that's ever come out of my mouth. Dr. Walker and his Staff are great. They are very compassionate very reasonable for x-rays and cleaning. They're awesome. Dr. Walker was very gentle, caring, and understanding of my concerns. I had such a tremendously positive experience that I didn't hesitate to take my then-toddler first child. The patience and kindness that he exhibited with my son was irreplaceable. We have been loyal to Dr. Walker ever since. He always remembers what the kids are up to and asks about their activities, school, and life in general. He is such a pleasant caregiver. All four of my children absolutely love him!! AVOID! Why?…read moreApparently, this dentist is getting ready to retire and close up shop. The receptionist, Tina, said that they were NOT accepting new patients. Fine...not unusual, as doctors and dentists sometimes restrict their intake of new patients if they are "full". So, I asked the most logical follow-up - 'When will you be taking on new patients?' Her response - 'We won't be taking on anyone new INDEFINITELY.' (and she most definitely stressed that last word during the conversation) What?!?!?!? I asked - 'So, in other words, you're NEVER taking on ANY new patients?' Her response was curt and rude - 'Sure, whatever, if indefinitely means never to you, then, yeah.' Definitely NOT a place to consider if you are looking for a new dentist. Look elsewhere.

Dr. Lovette takes the time to be extra careful. I, like some people, loathe going to the dentist. I even teeter on the edge that I am afraid to go to the dentist. I often picture the bad guy from 'Little Shop of Horrors' when I think of a dentist. Not Dr. Lovette, he frequently stops what he is doing to make sure that you are fine and then proceeds. He knows all the little techniques to distract you so that you aren't thinking too much about whatever procedure he might be performing. A little perk if you do come here. Majority of parking is metered and they are strict with the meter reading. If by chance you forgot to bring quarters along with you they have them inside so you do not get a parking ticket. Where else could you go that would do that for you? Love when they go the extra mile for you.

I was never thrilled with Keystone Dental but it was a convenient location that took our insurance…read more We've been patients for about 3 years and multiple times have been contacted by their snide toned receptionist to cancel our appointments last minute because "the dental hygienest is overwhelmed and we're lightening her load". Though frustrating I've always been accommodating to their cancelations. Never causing a fuss or having attitude with them until this final straw. End of July, I was contacted and told my child's tooth extraction was being canceled for the same reason. Also, that it would be WEEKS before I even got a call back to reschedule! This was an urgent need due to the time frame of her orthodontic care. When I questioned how they decided who got canceled and mentioned that this isn't the first time they've done this to us, I was told " You're more than welcome to find a different dentist." Which felt like a giant slap to the face. Flash forward, I get another call from Keystone Dental. I perked up thinking they're calling about the tooth extraction, nope! I was informed that we could forget about our appointment for teeth cleaning and school forms that was coming up as well because as of August 1st Keystone Dental no longer takes our insurance. As if our experience wasn't already deteriorating quick enough with them, I found another dentist that was willing to see my daughter quickly and they asked that I contact Keystone Dental and have them email my daughter's xrays (newly taken ones on July 2nd) and her information. Which I did and the receptionist stated they would. We arrived at our new dentist only to find out that Keystone Dental sent OLD xrays and no paperwork! First call was on July 25th for a tooth extraction on August 6th. Second call was on August 5th for a teeth cleaning/school form signing on August 18th. You really think they didn't know in July that they were dropping our insurance? Our insurance website still states that Keystone Dental takes our insurance for existing patients. I genuinely think they still take our insurance but this was their was of punishing me for daring to question their frequent cancelations. I'm deeply disappointed by their conduct and will continue to take my business elsewhere regardless of insurance provider.
