The owner was absolutely amazing and walked us though the process to make sure we honored my mother the way we wanted to. Now I know this sounds horrible, but we have all been to a wake and went to pay our respects and when you get up to the person they look horrible and not like themself. My mother looked absolutely amazing, from her hair down to her make up she looked just like herself. Now my mother had ALS so when she left this earth she looked sick, the team made her look like she did before she was sick and I can't express how great full we are for that. During my search Bob at Barnegat Funeral Home was the only one to take the time to really explain the process and help me through navigating it. He wrote it. Repeated it. And he was sensitive to our brains not working or being able to process this loss while attempting to make arrangements with him. He made time away from his family on a holiday weekend to meet us and accomodated all our needs. Late night calls. Repeated questions. With so much patience. His empasthism and his staffs empasthism was extremely consoling and heart warming. The funeral home is beautiful. The way the light comes into the rooms makes it so brightening for a last goodbye.
