That was great because I was starving. There's a lot of seating inside, mostly upstairs. It seemed they were actively keeping the place very clean. A couple things that stood out to me... The folks bringing food to the tables weren't the friendliest. Not quite rude, but not quite friendly. The food itself was not quite the size we're used to here. I don't take anything away from them for that; it's just something to be aware of. SMS to be fair, I've had smaller portions here in the US (but almost never). Food was OK. Place was clean. I am actually from western NY, within 50 miles of where Buffalo Wings became famous and every western New Yorker knows a good chicken wing and I have only ever found one place in the UK with good enough wings for them to remind me if home... But now I've found another!!! I've been seeing this business prepare for opening over the last few wings and when I realised it was an American Wing Restaurant I was so excited as it's right on my way home! The chicken wings were the right size, had the right crisp and succulence and the buffalo bliss sauce was reminiscent of the Anchor Bar(birthplace of buffalo wings) itself. I was given 5 wings and wedges in what I believe will be one of the menu items. It didn't come with Bleu cheese as standard (which might have been for the pre-opening event..idk) , but I didn't ask for it so I will make sure to do so next time. It did come with coleslaw, though...which I didn't really see the point of, lol! Oh yeah hey have burgers and per menu items, I'll unlikely be trying these soon as wings are now so close to home. Chicken/veg wrap, wings, barbecued chicken & a selection of side dishes. The variations come in the multitude of sauces on offer. For myself I ordered the Chicken & wings platter which came with half a barbecued chicken - I chose the peri-peri sauce for this and it was wonderful. I chose the highest heat and could have easily eaten spicier, but it at least felt like I was eating spicy food. The wings I asked for in the buffalo sauce and that was good too, but I preferred the peri-peri sauce. The platter also came with 2 sides of fries and 2 choice of sauce -the chipotle mayo is very good. When they said the platter was good for 2, I did not take it at face value and ordered a seperate meal for the husband, but the portions are very large and half of the half chicken is sitting in the refrigerator for tomorrow. For the husband, I ordered the boneless chicken wings with the mango & lime marinade and a salad. The salad was lovely, the marinade was good, but I personally would have preferred a heavier helping of the marinade in the chicken. I could just get hints of flavour, unlike in my own chicken dishes which were "goooily" coated. The chicken wrap (Caribbean Jerk marinade) was a little drier than my husband liked, so he just added, some of the mayo into the wrap. I did not taste this one, because I was already quite stuffed. the honey roast vegetables were perfect. nibble sized pieces, well seasoned and beautifully roasted. The sweet potato fries were good, but I've had much better or maybe they just got a bit soggy because of the delivery. This outlet only has delivery option (no eat-ins) and delivery is free for orders over 15Pounds. all the food above + tip came up to 28 Pounds. Not a bad price for a healthy meal delivered home.

There is nowhere to sit down and there is zero ambience. You pick up your chicken and then you go eat it in the street outside. The breast is flattened and extra crispy and was definitely good. I would prefer a table to sit out but that's not the way Chinatown rolls. No matter what time you walk past this place there's always a line. Give it a go.

By far not the most glamorous meal for our first night on a recent visit to London, but it was actually quite good. I have never been to any other Chicken Cottages before, but both kinds of chicken were cooked perfect and were really favorable and the service was tremendously friendly and helpful.
