This is in the same restaurant family as the Michelin rated and very well known Il Luigo if you're familiar. This beautiful restaurant is located in the garden of the old home of a very well known Italian, Alessandro Manzon. Everything from start to finish was absolutely exceptional. The staff are so accommodating so welcoming and encourage you to have a very relaxed dinner that last several hours which is very different than our North American dining. They have a set menu as well as à la cart dining and even if you just order à la cart as we did, they brought out so many more courses! Each one was beautifully plated with exceptional flavors. The stand out dishes for me that are so memorable would be the duck carpaccio topped with foie gras and the incredible selection of desserts. They also have an extensive wine and drink list. As the sunset we had a breathtaking view of the garden at night and they encourage you to take a walk through the lovely garden setting to learn about the history of the restaurant. Overall, this one of the best restaurants I visited on my recent trip to Milan, and it lives up to the accolades! Grazie Mille!

Not a big deal, they let you know there is a time limit, but maybe they should keep the service flowing so that doesn't happen. The interior decorator here did a great job with the time warp back to the mid 20th century. Cool vibe. Food was ok. Perhaps using old recipes from the time period is not so good for a tourist? I wasn't really impressed with the food, but I don't have a cultural link to Milanese food to begin with, so I don't think I was fully able to appreciate it. If my grandmother made this when i was a kid, perhaps it would have been better, but the meal was lost on me. There are plenty of spots to grab a good meal, I'd only recommend this place if you have a fond memory of the menu items or you really want to time travel and post to social media.

I went 1 night and the service was amazing and food delish. I was torn on trying the pasta or the meat. I got pasta! But when I left, the manager invited me back the next day.
