I couldn't get a good idea of where to go based on online reviews, so I just called Memphis Dermatology Clinic since it was the closest to my office. I had a great experience! There was plenty of parking in the back, and the office was clean and had lots of seating. The nurse who took me to the exam room was very nice, and was very thorough going over my chart and asking questions about what brought me in. I had to wait a bit to see the doctor, but Dr. Overholser was great. She's young, very friendly, and explained everything she was prescribing. While I hope I don't have to go back for any more skin problems, if I do, I will definitely make my next appointment here.

They forgot to order the ointment and allowed me to use it too long so it granulated and made a larger hole. Plus after checking diligently my insurance company said they were never contacted. now I have received a letter from a lawyer that our information may be compromised. I have other complaints but as you can see, it was not a good experience.

But Dr. Safley is a dermatologist and my experience this morning was so ridiculous on the customer service side I had to share. This was my third time to visit him. Each visit has anywhere from a year to two year gap so when I told the receptionist that I changed insurance, I was shocked to hear her say, "You change insurance every time you come in. Do you have trouble keeping insurance or something?" - My mouth was literally hanging open at how rude she was. 1. That is none of your business 2. That is incredibly rude 3. No, I don't - I just changed jobs!! I was so annoyed and flustered that it took me a second to realize I had waited 35 minutes (in an incredibly dark, dingy waiting room - why do they not have overhead lights?!) by the time they called me to the back. Then I had to wait another 15 minutes in the examination room. "Surely he must be spending a lot of time with his patients," I thought - but oh no, I got a whopping 5 minutes of his time. I waited 50 minutes...and got 5 minutes with the doctor. And he wasn't even nice! I was trying to talk to him about my skin and there was no dialogue. Finally, I just asked for a refill of my medicine so I could get out of there. I think it is time to find another dermatologist.
