I've done business with Key Bank since it took over First Niagara in 1994 and with PennBank before that, Pennsylvania Bank & Trust before that and Warren Savings Bank before that. So, this little back, always maintaining its same location in the Flat Iron Building, has gone through a lot of changes. Being a small bank in a small town, doing business is somewhat more pleasant. The bank tellers are all super friendly as they get to know you and you get to know them. Plus as with small towns you're going to be seeing the people who work in the bank. You'll probably see them at the gasoline stations, shopping in the super market or sitting next to you at a local restaurant. I have to confess that I find all banking or bank dealings to be somewhat of a miserable crap experience, but with Key Bank, a lot less than others because of their friendliness and polite professionalism.

Northwest Savings Bank is a bank that I really respect, think highly of and admire. Their main…read moreoffices are located in Warren, they're one of the cities largest employers, they are committed to the betterment of the town which they have proved by having paid for fountains, music shows, the development of a music park and such a host of other items I can't even begin to recall them all. They are also the top lender for local businesses and indeed without them, there are some businesses and employers that may not have survived, so I am forever thankful for that. Besides their community involvement, they have a banking staff that is really about the most polite, attentive and accommodating to be found anywhere. No, I'm not just saying that because I have an account with them or personally do business with them because, being a resident of Fort Lauderdale where they have no offices, I don't. I'm only saying it because I really mean it. One other good thing of note is that they have a change sorting/counting machine, and that, I admittedly use a lot.

I was quoted a 10 day payoff on a loan. I paid the loan within three days via UPS because they…read moredon't do ACH payments. I have been waiting over a month for the title. I called and they said there was a $10.16 shortage. Why wouldn't anybody call me and tell me that? The lady that answered the phone said that she called and talked to the title clerk, a joke because I'm the only one that answers this phone. Long story short I hope to never have to do business with this bank again they caused us a sale over $10.16 because we didn't have the title. They did cash the check for $8970.61 that we were quoted as the 10 day as soon as they got it. To hold our title because of a $10.16 shortage and it was their fault is ridiculous. I sent them $10.16 check through UPS but they still have to hold it for five additional days for whatever reason because it's their policy, ridiculous. Get it Together Northwest Bank.
