The playground is a hit with kids (my nephews seemed to really like it), it has a lot of room to play catch (nephews did that too), and the tank can't be beat! Really cool memorial around the tank too. There are huge oak trees covering the park, and they provide a ton of shade in the summer so it's a nice place to be. Last time I was here, they were setting up for a blues festival. I'd like to experience that sometime. Perfect venue for events like that. I was surprised to see a lot of people playing volleyball on the sand courts, but there they were! My husband grew up here and took care of that park in his youth so it's always fun to visit when we're in the area.

I called the golf course and they referred me to a Caleb, who when I called, sent me to voicemail and texted me asking who this was. I sent him a picture of this ticket. Replied he would take care of it. When I replied the next business day asking if it was "taken care of", no response. My dad golfed here for 20 years before he passed in 2020. There are a few entrances 1) near the golfing center and 2) roughly near the volleyball nets 3) one off the pathway that leads to a nearby neighborhood. There is also this random pathway that is also right off the pathway but I do not know where that leads to. Nonetheless, you can travel up there with the exception of motor vehicles. It's also surrounded by a nearby busy intersection which really doesn't interfere with anything. Just a surrounding area. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes the outdoors.

Just south of 30 between Burr and Cline it is easy to get to. Plenty of parking and is adjacent to the baseball fields. You can also catch some soccer games here. Lovely ponds attract birds and the playground keeps the kids busy for hours. This is even a Pokémon stop and you can catch some good ones here. There is a lot of room to spread out your bean bag games and have a water balloon toss. They even have a ball field if your group wants to hit the ball around. The covered pavilion fits about a dozen picnic tables to have a place for everyone to sit and eat, and stay out of the sun or rain. They also provide a large built in barbeque stand at the pavilion. There are basketball courts for those that wish to play, and a playground for the young kids to have something to do while the oldsters just catch up. There is also a large building when you enter the park where they have restrooms (very clean with soap and dryers), vending machines, and water fountains. This is really a nice park and is well maintained and kept up. Give it a try.
