So after my previous review I was contacted by Paulette. She apologized as she did receive my voice messages. She answered all of my questions and then sent over an email with all the details. A day later she called me back to ask if I had reviewed the email so we could discuss further. I wanted to make sure I updated my previous review due to her professionalism. Thanks again Paulette

Very clean and nice park there's 2 fountains, a bridge, swing seat, and a bunch of sculptures around the park. I loved visiting here :)

Sled hill review... Step 1 - park a security car near the base of the hill off the main drive towards the restaurant...flashers on. Step 2 - climb up to the 2 metal swings and ignore the signs pointing to the "sled hill" (which must have flattened over time) Step 3 - enjoy a brisk tube ride down to the driveway. It helps to have a spotter at the base to ward off any vehicles. Step 4 - repeat! We always come here to sled since moving to Indiana. During today's runs, a family said this was the steepest slope of the 5 hills they tried nearby. It's not the best or biggest thrill-hill by any means. That said, the added danger of passing cars and giant plow trucks blaring horns as they grind through makes this adventure better-than-average.

This is a new atmosphere for outdoor walks, picinics, sports, golf, and family fun. Its a great venue for parties, events, concerts, and the environment is very country club style. Green, hilly with a pond, Centennial Park is the closest to a fun in the sun style day if your tired of going to little neighborhood parks. I think its adult fun too here rather than a boring swing set or just a track around a tennis court.

We went here for sledding and had a pretty good time. It was kind of an every man for himself situation there. If you found a good hill, good for you. If you didn't, you weren't alone. We found a decent one. It was freaking cold today so maybe I am just crabby about it. I fell through the knee deep snow many times lol. I would go back, but not in such cold weather where we feel like we are getting frost bite.

Beautiful park! Well maintained in spite of people thinking it's ok to leave their trash.

I like it here. The grounds are spread out enough where the park can be full without feeling crowded. Great place for an evening stroll

Narrow fairways and no online tee times. Seriously, that technology is 10 years old. What gives?

There is a lot of room to spread out your bean bag games and have a water balloon toss. They even have a ball field if your group wants to hit the ball around. The covered pavilion fits about a dozen picnic tables to have a place for everyone to sit and eat, and stay out of the sun or rain. They also provide a large built in barbeque stand at the pavilion. There are basketball courts for those that wish to play, and a playground for the young kids to have something to do while the oldsters just catch up. There is also a large building when you enter the park where they have restrooms (very clean with soap and dryers), vending machines, and water fountains. This is really a nice park and is well maintained and kept up. Give it a try.

Currently they are redoing that area and it should be really nice when they are done. Redar park has a lot of events in the spring, summer and fall months. There is a lot to do with families for free so keep an eye open for advertising.

Almost a combination art display and memorial. Plenty of historical information, plus commentary evoking the feelings and trauma. A war memorial isn't a celebration of war, but a remembrance of the struggle, loss, and sacrifice. This one, more than most, evokes the horrors- it's a beautiful place, but parts are jarring. I might not bring kids here till they are old enough to understand history and war fairly well- some of the sculptures are fairly vivid. I could also see a vet having flashbacks- for example, from the Huey helicopter landing (crashing?) into reeds, the sculpture of a soldier near a dead comrade, etc. Definitely not whitewashed history.

It demands a certain respect to be shown to our citizens and military members. I thank each and every service member for the sacrifices they have made, some gave their lives so that we may live ours in happy, blissful ignorance of the threats to our livelihood. Because of those brave souls we have freedoms most other nations citizens could only dream about! We are lucky to be part of such a great nation, truly we are. On to the review though, This place is very well maintained, clean and a real joy to walk through. The brickwork on the paths is beautifully laid and has a certain elegance to it. Plenty of benches for you to sit on and think or relax. Night lighting could be better, the exhibits are lit well however, the path could benefit from a wee bit more. I do like the fact that the flag is ALWAYS in good repair, nothing pisses me off more than a tattered flag. I'd definitely recommend stopping by to see it a least once.
