We made an initial appointment in April. The lawyer we were to meet with was not there. Initially…read moretold he was working from home that day. Met with another gentleman who conducted the interview for estate planning and stated that the other lawyer was actually working in court at Grand Island. So we signed the agreement via email, reached out to ask about time frame a few weeks later. Eventually end of last month got a letter referring us to another lawyer as they could not do the fun trust we were interested in. I called and asked if the rest of the eatate planning was proceeding. Receptionist took the information and promised to pass it on. We didn't get a reply. Called today and spoke with the original lawyer. He apologized and said he sent the letter because the email he had wasn't working. No mention of our phone numbers. Then astonishingly said he could proceed with getting the estate planning document one by next week if we wanted. A week!!!! Thanks but no thanks. I should have walked the first day when the lawyer was not there to meet us and had NOT arranged for someone else to take the appointment. Hope everyone else has better luck.
