A meat section full of DAY-WEEK OLD expired products. We had to go back to the store and rummage through their rotten meat section, to which we found MOST of their meat was expired. I even found a ham lunchmeat pack that expired in april, It's JUNE. Flat out unacceptable standards, and employees apparently incapable of reading 4 numbers. I hope this place gets shut down, seems genuinely dangerous to the community, i'm just glad my girlfriend ended up checking the date on our ham as we left. Please do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else. read more

My mother came in today and you know shopping around got some things. When she got to the register and she realized she lost here money and told the cashier. Then she told me that cashier (She's not fluent in English) they proceeded to tell someone else(some other cashier) if they found it and that cashier started to laugh at my mother. Laughing at woman that barely knows English wow. Just wow read more

Store was very clean, staff was friendly. Very large selection of health conscious meals, which is nice for people on the go! My cashier, Jasmine, called me over as there was no waiting in her line. She was very personable ~ definitely a keeper. Thanks for the excellent experience. :-) read more

Fraud advisement they advised of being open til 10 but they closed at 9:14 and made me leave I will never go back

Woods is at a new spiffed up location. The store appears clean and well organized. The staff who know me are always very friendly. That's a plus. They now have a specialty coffee bar, I've never tried, as well. Every store in Sedalia has certain strengths and weaknesses. Wood's strength is their produce department. Their vegetables and fruit are usually very fresh and there is a large selection of basic products. Meat department is average with what you find elsewhere in Sedalia. Steaks vary from tender to moderately tough and most are a bit bland. The rest is your basic no frills grocery store fare. There was a time I bought whole roasted chickens from their deli regularly but now they seem to have a bad habit of not being completely cooked. I've also found fried chicken breasts raw at the bone. Few things are worse than eating a few bites of chicken to ultimately find a bloody center. It's simple, check your temperatures and cook times regularly and periodically test your product. These issues could make people very sick. read more

VANCE the cashier was rude to me and my family. I'm assuming he is new? Or just a rude person in general because he treated me like I was stupid. And I am highly offended. I would rather wait in a long line at Walmart than ever shop at woods again due to the experience I had today. Will not be coming back to woods ever again!! read more

I ordered a cake from Woods Bakery for Mothers day and it was not what I ordered. It was Frozen. It was supposed to be half chocolate and half white and have whipped frosting. I took it back and thought they would care that it was wrong, but I thought wrong. Got my money back, but no cake for my daughters first time being a mother. Very disappointed. I buy the whipped topping cakes frequently, but I don't think I will anymore. They should have at least tried to find another cake, but didn't. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Woods! This place is amazing. The store is always kept clean and organized, and the staff is always willing to help if needed, the cashiers are funny and personable, and they will gladly help you out to your car if needed! Even the carters outside are friendly! Always leaving the store getting a "have a great evening!" They always have amazing fruits and vegetables that look like they were picked right from the garden, meat selection is good, but not as good as other places, but I would rather come to woods because the quality of their meat is top notch! Prices are fair, and adding on gas savers?! Who wouldn't want to shop here! I went to woods and stocked up my entire fridge, freezer, and pantry for $260! Can't beat that! And to save money off gas by spending money on food, AND getting reward points that you can redeem for free items? Highly recommend!! read more

They run a lot of good sales, especially on meat. And they have the best beer and liquor selection in town. It's bigger and better than any liquor store in town. read more
