Need a quick, fun fall family activity to do with the little ones? This is a great spot! I can't tell you how many times I've passed this spot on one way to visiting family. Lots of activities and it doesn't cost anything to enter, but each activity does cost a few coin. Face painting was $10, I believe the "gold digging" demo was $6 (and there is a sign that suggests you do the other activities before getting your face painted as the paint might not last, which I appreciated). Food was available for purchase and I got a roasted corn that I was forced to split with the kid. The corn wasn't that sweet but still sufficed. I didn't get to look at the plants or any of the nursery items but I will def head back there when in the area when it's time to start planting. read more

It's the greatest nursery on Long Island. It's a ton of seasonal fun especially in the Fall, and during October for the kids and the entire family. Very reasonably priced and all the benefits of a full nursery (vibrant mums) and fun center. Dino-Land is my favorite. It's a great place for all children especially kids with special needs to fully immerse themselves in the experience. Lots of visuals and fun selfie spots. I like the made to order corn and building my own straw man for the front of my house-all the neighbors asked where I got mine it's so lifelike. We will all be back for winter fun and more. I really enjoyed this random pit stop after a great day at sunken forest on fire island. We were dropping off a friend when I saw the sign for some Halloween entertainment ! My friends were indecisive so I said - let's go and see - where else do we have to be!!! Haha It's great for kids with hot dogs, corn, and some other small treats. There's balloon animals and character balloons that vary in price. About $2-$5 ish. A haunted tunnel is also fun and entertaining (not to shabby for the price!!) it's $4 and there are coupons buy one get one free that are in the local papers and probably online. I happened to find one while I was there that was left! Woo hoo! There's an array of plants from mums to kale to others! You can make your own scarecrow!!! Stuff em draw on them and dress them!! $19.99 includes the clothes! There's also face painting, a gift shop and great for kids parties!!! read more

The absolute best family run and family oriented fall nursery! We have been going to Woodside Nursery for our fall family adventures for a few years now. We actually go numerous times a season. The kids love all the activities especially the haunted tunnel they go through it at least 6-7 times each visit! We all love the corn on the cob on the weekend, but we will also go after school for the tunnel and decorations. They also have a great dinosaur exhibit you can walk through. The owners this year have added so much more this year!! The owners are part of the community and give back so much to the community. Christmas time they also have a great photo op with Santa Claus Woodside Nursery is our favorite family adventure place to make memories! read more

My kids 4 and 1 Yrs old had fun. Small activities area so everything is right there. Haunted tunnel includes short outdoor dinosaur trail walk (finish within 2 minutes) is $4 per person. Bounce $2. Face paint $3-$7. Balloon art $2-$5. Roasted corn dipped in pot of butter $3. Hotdog $2. Gold mining $4 ( not much to find but my son likes it. Need spare changing clothes since he gets all wet). Of cos free pumpkin patch. Free admission. Free park. Portable potty but acceptable condition. Will be nice if they have petting zoo. Great for toddler. Will definitely return next year. read more

This is our second year coming to this nursery for fun fall activities! They have so many fun things for the kids, fall food and a haunted tunnel (kid friendly!). All the workers were so friendly and helpful and there is no admission fee. Highly recommend! read more

Just returned from their Halloween and fall event. The place was packed but much to their credit they had people assisting and directing parking so the normal free- for- all at li farms wasnt happening. They had a lot going on, my kids loved the haunted tunnel, pirate adventure, and dinosaur thing. The roasted corn was delicious as was the candied Apples. There's a bounce house and the pumpkin picking is the halfway lined up pumpkins on a mat instead of actually in a patch. It's not a money trap but everything has a price of a few bucks here and there so it adds up. My family enjoyed the make your own scarecrow which was the priciest at $20. Fun but bring your wallet. read more

Everytime I come here I have a good experience. This is my 4th year in a row. They have a Santa Claus that is extra cool looking, and they burn wood so it smells extra Christmas-sy. The owner is a really nice guy, and goes out of his way to make contact with every customer, with either a greeting or a farewell and a thank you. I started doing business with Pete from Woodside Nursery several years ago and have no reason to go anyplace else. He is a genuine person which is hard to come by nowadays. Pete has taken the time to help me design gardens and pick materials that will work well for my yard and overall design. I bought 31 4 ft arborvaties from woodside nursery. I got them at $20 each which was by far the cheapest place I could find. I was even a little hesitant to buy them at so cheap but I went for them anyways. I talked to Mike on the phone. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful thru the whole process. I called him at the end of April when I saw the sale, but told him my paver guy wouldn't be ready to install them till the end of May. He had no problem holding onto them for me. My paver guy was actually delayed a bit and wasn't able to get to my house till the beginning of July! I called Mike to see if he was able to hold the bushes for me till I was ready for them and he again told me no problem. He was very understanding and at the end of the day held the bushes for over two months for me! They recently delivered them to my house and the guys that delivered them were again extremely helpful in telling me how to plant them and answering any questions I had.
