I hired D'Anna Landscaping to tackle several problem areas in my backyard. The space had multiple levels that required retaining walls, along with heavy overgrowth--vines, saplings, and stubborn weeds in hard-to-reach spots. They installed the retaining walls, cleared out all the debris, and put down barriers and crushed rock. They also removed a long row of hedges and poured concrete that matched my existing decking perfectly. Given the tight spaces around my pool and all the flower beds, my yard was extremely difficult to navigate. Despite the challenges, they went above and beyond. At one point, I thought I had a pool issue, and even though it wasn't his responsibility, he came by in the evening, dug out the lines, and tried to troubleshoot the problem. I can't thank him enough for the peace of mind that gave me. I'll admit--I was nervous going into such a big job with a company I'd never used before. Large projects can be disruptive, but he was absolutely wonderful throughout. He held my hand every step of the way, communicated clearly, took time to explain every detail, and genuinely eased my concerns. On top of that, the crew cleaned up daily and left my property spotless. I'm currently submitting a court order against in riverhead supreme court against Nick and his company. I hired them 2 years ago to do my pavers. He made promises he couldn't keep. the deadline got pused by 5 monts and he blamed his truck and make excuses. I had to go out and buy the pavers on my own because the day he was supposed to start he said the mason yards were all out of stock. ( yet I somehow was able to get the pavers delvered next day!) He already had my money he was just making excuses not to start. He finally started after I asked for all my money back, but he didn't do the work or supervise the crew. The back wall was supposed to be higher than it was and he refused to add the extra layer I asked for leaving me with a while pallet of bricks, that wall is currently falling apart. The fire pit paito he bult is falling collapsing . The cement area that was supposed to be a seating area is just sand mixed with some cement thats not holding anyhting together. the polymetric sand thats supposed to be between the pavers lasted less than a year. The stones we paid for to go around the landscape never arrived insted he put down gravel that you'd use for a driveway and said I'm stuck with it, He pitched the entire pavers towards my pool so when it rains my pool gets full of sand. The bullnose a fell into my pool while my 5 year old dauger was walking on the side of the pool she fell in and scraped her legs and side of her body. I called emaid and texted nick trying to settle this out of court, I gave him a months notice followed up with the email and text last two weeks. the only reason I hired him is I wanted to give him a chance since hes just a kid and he's learning but I lost 30K giving him a chance. He told me he has over 30 years of experience, hes not even 30 years old! He seems sweet at first but most conartist are like that.
