Nestled in behind some sleepy suburban streets, running beside a creek (could be considered a ditch during some times of the year) is a 'petite' neighbourhood playground that has a little taste of 'old school' play. I love it when more modern playgrounds have a piece of equipment that remind me of playgrounds I used as a child.
This playground has none other than.....wait for it.....monkey bars!! 2 sets even!! It's a fairly standard neighbourhood park by every other standard. The floor is bark chipped. There aren't any toilets or drink fountain. There's quite a nice meandering path that cuts through the playground. I can only presume it's part of the other meandering paths in the area. Happy Valley and Aberfoyle Park are quite nice in that aspect.
There's no shade over the playground but the dappled gums would probably give some shade in the morning and afternoon.
