The whole playground is bark chipped although there seems to be rubber under the swings that has been covered up by bark chip. There's a sheltered table/chair area which came in great need seeing as it was bucketing down when I took the photo. There is also lots of room to kick a ball, run around or ride a bike. There are tennis courts, adult fitness equipment, a fantastic playground for a wide range of ages, sheltered table/chair area AND BBQ! Unfortunately for you (but yay for the park and the people) there were people using the BBQ and table/chair area so I didn't get a photo of that but it's just in front of the playground, you might be able to see it in the background of some of those photos. I tried to see if there was a drinking fountain. I'm sure there would be one near the BBQ but I couldn't see it and didn't want to intrude to find out. This place had a really nice 'feel' to it too. Perhaps it was the people laughing at their uncoordinated tennis swings, or maybe it was the sight of a group of friends (rather than a family) gathered around the BBQ but I really liked this place. Even though the playground isn't the biggest or the best, it certainly does a good job of entertaining the little ones. If you are looking for a place for a birthday party, this would be it, at least people seem to think so. There are always children's birthday parties here and why not? There's a better-than-some playground with sheltered table/chair areas close to it. The toilet block is just a short walk away to the car park area and look at all that green grass! Worthy of a roll from even the biggest of kids, I think. I can't remember seeing a drinking fountain but I can't imagine this place without one. I'm sure there would be something near the BBQ. The playground has some shelter built into the design. It's not a lot but it's better than nothing. There is so much that I love about this playground. I love that the playground itself has shaded areas built into it. I love that there's a variety of equipment for different ages. I love that you can almost launch yourself off of some of the slides. I love that it's fully fenced. I love that there's even a ramp onto the playground for those children who need wheels to get around. I love that apart from the ramp there's still about four different ways to actually get on to the playground. Can you tell I'm excited? BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!! I love that there sheltered table/chairs AND a working drinking fountain so close to the playground. I love that there's a basketball hoop not too far away. I love that you can have dogs in the park (but not in the fenced off playground area). I love that there's a BBQ! I LOVE IT!!! SO why didn't I give this a five star rating???? Because there's no toilets :-( This IS a destination playground for me because I don't have to drive far to get to it. This is such a great place. With a playground, skate park AND beautiful bike/hiking tracks through…read morethe local bush land, this really is a pretty place. While it isn't the biggest playground, they certainly have designed it with a wide range of age groups in mind. There's a mix of rubber ground and bark chip ground with toilets right in the middle of the skating area and the playground area. I spoke to a local who said the skate park is great (I've been out of the skating scene for too long to know hehehe). There were a couple of broken street lights in the car park but he assured me that the park gets maintained and looked after well, and he was surprised to see the damage himself. Pack your family up, put the bikes in the car and head over here. It would be a lovely Sunday outing. This is definitely one to check out. Minkarra Park is a great place to take the kids on school holidays when you just need to get out of…read morethe house. It has exercise equipment, large skate park, hiking trails, fenced dog park and playground with toilets. Whilst I mainly visited for the playground with friends, I was disappointed that it does not cater for crawlers or children under 2 very well. Some of the equipment was too high/difficult for them to climb and they spent the majority of the time on the rubber ground. There was also no toddler swing, so if your kids like swings as much as mine then it's not the place to go. That being said it s well kept and tidy, but probably suited more to 3/4yo and up.

I wish I had a playground like this when I was growing up! This is suitable for a wide range of ages and looks like a WHOLE lot of fun. I entered the playground from Eyre Street. I wouldn't recommend this if you are with little children. It's a bit of a walk and uphill. Entering from Davey Crescent looks like a better idea. There is a drinking fountain which works!! And there are bench seats but no sheltered table/chair areas. This is part of a much bigger reserve/park area and I'm unsure if there are toilets in another section. Oh, to be eight years old again! It's a good little spot for a walk. I've really only been here to stretch my legs after a long drive, and to let the puppy out to have a bit of a play, but I reckon the place would be enhanced by some shade sails, because while this place is really quite nice, it'd be that much nicer to sit and eat a sandwich and not get a seriously sunburnt neck in the middle of summer.

It is pretty convenient in that it is just across the road from the beach, and there are facilities here that one can use to change, or wash down. It was good though, just not what I thought it would be. It is however an Access For All playground so there's a ramp for those children in wheel chairs. This is a park designed for toddlers. And don't worry parents, the entire play area is rubber flooring so if they fall, they bounce lol. I really liked that the toilets are close by but wish there was more (or anything!) in the way of shade. There's a BBQ and a sheltered table/chair area just in front of the toilets. There's also plenty of room for running around on some pretty lush grass. I apologise for there being only one photo. This little…read moreripper of a park is getting MORE equipment added to it so I had to leave an extra star for a review at a later stage. If your dog or your child needs room to run about, this is the place to come. There is SO much room! The playground is fairly new and the entire play equipment area has a rubber floor. There are electronic toilets, BBQ, sheltered table/chair area, and a drinking fountain that needs a little servicing. It's one of those wonderful drinking fountains that have a lower collection spot for the off-run of water so the four legged pooches can have a drink also. Attached is also a tap. To be honest, if it wasn't such a great set up, the play equipment wouldn't be all that great. This is definitely a toddler park with one piece of equipment that reminds me of swinging around on the old lop sided hill hoist (which isn't suited for toddlers at all). This is a lovely place to be. The BBQ looks like it's the oldest piece of equipment of the whole area but it still looks like it gets used (it was a rainy day, I didn't try myself). This is a solid little playground. It's fairly compact. There are a couple of sheltered tables and…read morechairs and the trees close by would offer some shade over the playground. There is a creek running just behind it and the occasional duck will come out to see what's going on. The playground is right beside an oval that gets used as a dog park (bags provided and used most of the time to clean up the 'land mines') and for cricket matches. The playground isn't fenced but it is set back from the road quite a way. The toilets are on the other side of the oval, near Serpentine Playspace and there is a half-pipe near the O'Halloran Hill Tennis Club. *I didn't see a drinking fountain* *Dogs allowed* *No BBQ but plenty of room for a picnic*
