Not until I was driving by and saw a roofing company at work... no Mass in the yard, all the workers looked professional, and the product being installed, looked fantastic! I stopped, got their information, and after a few conversations Bowling Construction was at my home installing my new roof. Not just any roof, a GAF roof! The best of the best, six nails per shingle, 50 year warranty, workmanship warranty...etc. it only took them two days and I had the best looking roof in my neighborhood! Two years later, I went outside to see that my neighbors home had water pouring out of the walls, front door, garage, water was everywhere! Not sure what to do so I called Bowling Construction and within an hour they were there getting to work. Unfortunately, the house was completely destroyed inside, but amazingly they were able to remove all the damaged areas and completely restore the two-story home within just a couple months. I have since referred friends, family, and perfect strangers (all in need, but unsure what to do or who to trust) and not one person has called me upset! If anything they've called me to thank me for the referral! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, IF YOUR ROOF IS DAMAGED, IF YOUR HOME IS DAMAGED, IF YOU TRULY WANT THE BEST PEOPLE AND BEST MATERIALS AND A FAIR PRICE....DONT HESITATE CALL BOLING CONSTRUCTION!! I would rarely talk to a rep who knocks on my door, especially when I previously had another roofing company that I was satisfied with the last time we experienced a bad hailstorm. I am not surprised the roofing reps circulate storm-damaged neighborhoods. It's no different than trial attorneys reaching out to accident victims. It's a marketing practice. The former chases storms, whereas the latter chases ambulances. Nothing out of the ordinary there. Then I met Jody, a new rep they recently hired. Since I normally don't even talk to door-to-door reps, I usually politely dismiss them without appearing too grumpy. However, he convinced me to at least consider the possibility of scheduling an appointment because part of the inspection included looking for collateral damage. Ryan, the owner, came out and impressed me with his knowledgeable and professional approach. He showed me how my previous roofer made some shortcuts by not completely removing the underlayment. He also found a damaged chimney, a broken window, and screens, and two garage doors. After researching some of the reviews, and seeing that they're local, I contracted with this company, who in turn subcontracted the chimney rebuild, and garage doors. Ryan asked for no money up front when I signed the contract. It went exactly as Ryan said it would; we would settle up when the work was done. We settled today as the Schilling Overhead Doors installed the new doors (I paid extra for the upgraded doors and new motors, which was totally worth it). He said I made it easy because I provided all of the estimates, including supplementals when my adjuster made it available. He worked with my adjuster to document the additional damage, so that my adjuster would approve the supplemental. They installed the roof in less than one day. They run like a well-oiled machine and choose only the best tradesmen as their subcontractors. I highly recommend this company and will do business with them as the need arises.
