I love this particular Coles because there is heaps of parking available, it's adjacent to the market, there are always good deals going on and there is a great selection of multicultural food that I can buy at any time, because it's always open! Easy to navigate layout, friendly staff at the tills and heaps of product available. This is my go-to Coles when I see a good deal on and I want to stock up or am looking for those ingredients that aren't so common and generally aren't found in other supermarkets.

The chicken store stocks some great deals including enormous fresh chicken lasagna for around $17 - big enough to feed 4, you can freeze them or pop them in the oven for half an hour and get a delicious and hearty meal. The juice bar is a great place to refresh. The have low-fat creamy yoghurt, fresh juices and really excellent smoothies made with yoghurt and milk, or sorbet. Nick and Sue's gourmet deli is a must if you love dips, bread or any sort of meat. Prosciutto sliced freshly, soft pasta and a wide range of cheeses are also sold here. Nick and Sue's is your one stop shop inside the market. I'm constantly surprised by the quality and price of the ingredients (in a good way), and even though you may have to jostle around a counter to get served, it adds to the rustic atmosphere of the market.

So sizeable was the wheaty treat that it took my man and I a good few days and several homemade dips to finish it off. Hard work, but someone has to do it. The service can be a little on the brusque side at times, but the staff know their products and can always direct you to the right shelf. The Turkish bread rolls are also excellent, and make for the most delicious toasties your kitchen could ever hope to muster.

Inside the stock is largely bulk-packaged tinned and dry goods. The flavour is kind of Mediterranean but they also have many Aussie favourites at stupidly low prices. What I like about Maxi is the odd items you wont find at Coles. The cereal section for instance is a do-it-yourself affair, where you pick and choose form open canisters and fill up your bag of muesli or cereal by weight. The shelves too are quite industrial, and it gives the place a warehouse feel that most city stores would consider boutique.

Reasonable prices, its pretty amazing. If you go towards the end of the working day, they mark down alot of the food made that morning :)
