Overall, a good coworking space with decent amenities; good value for money. Worked here for a few days while visiting family in Porto.
The days I was there, there was no front desk reception, so I wouldn't just drop in for a day pass or tour. You should contact them via their website first. They give you a PIN code to access.
Wifi was 115/168 Mbps upload/download in the afternoon connecting to a New York City server. Other times, as high as 183/247 to local servers. Never had any drops or lags when I had video calls, which were international. I frequently had to access files in servers based in the US, sometimes via VPN, and never saw any lags.
Main issue for me was that the main coworking room required anything above a short, quiet conversation to be out in the hallway, kitchen, or terrace. There's seating in all those places but not as expansive as in the coworking room, where there are numerous electrical outlets, and where I have my external monitors, keyboard, trackpad set up. So every time I had a meeting, I had to disconnect my laptop from my peripherals and go someplace. For some of you, this is a nice feature, as the coworking room is basically a 'quiet room' where you can concentrate.
Also, the coworking room seems to be set to ~19ºC (~67ºF) with no easy way to update the temperature (and probably for good reason; less arguing between people). Bring an extra clothing layer if that's cold for you. The kitchen, on the other hand, is warmer and the A/C unit responds to the remote control. But you're not allowed to work in there 12pm-3pm.
The terrace is simple and nice, with lovely views. South and west facing. With Porto weather in August, I was able to be out there for some meetings. However, with the angle of the sun this time of year, the nicer seating is not in the shade most of the time, but there is some that's always shaded and under overhead cover. Not sure about electrical outlets though.
The kitchen has self-serve espresso and tea, with some milks in the frig. The frig is communal, so you can put your stuff in there.
Hours are listed as 24/7 in some places, but it is definitely not 24/7, at least, not for us folks that are here for only a short while with PIN codes. The front door of the building apparently locks after 8pm and can lock you in if you're not out in time (no PIN codes for this). Also, my PIN code for the coworking space was set to work only after 9am though the building seems to be open as early as 8am. Anyway, there's some oddities about exactly what hours you can work, and you should confirm if you have meetings or important work at hours outside 9:30am - 7pm.
Bathrooms: Single occupancy stalls that are clean and functional. The entire bathroom was great. read more
