I was stopping in because the bike…read moreshop in DeKalb closed, and I was in need of a new pump since my Twister broke a fitting on the gauge, and the company doesn't support it anymore. The shop owner had two different pumps, and took the time to explain what the best one was and why. I opted for the better pump with the steel barrel, and the ability to fill standard and Presti valves without the need for an adapter assembly - all in one. It has an analog (needle) gauge, which is fine with me - the other broke one had a digital gauge, and it wasn't working consistently or well. Good advice from the owner. I was looking around for something else. I usually wear a dry-fit shirt for riding, but that rides up and I get mud in the itchy places. He had some nice bike jerseys for the local club, and I tried on two of them. The large was too tight, but the extra large was just right, looked good, and no more flapping in the wind. The price was reasonable and equivalent (in fact less) than some I'd shopped when riding in Madison. This shop has a TON of hardware - you can get gears, crank arms, clusters, brakes, everything, plus has a complete shop. All local, put your hands on it, and get support. So support this local business. Go buy something there.

Cindy was so wonderful in helping suggest something I didn't even see. I was interested in a device but it wasn't on sale. She pointed out something else that was cheap and on sale!! Then asked which flavor I wanted -- which I would have gotten the device without the pods, so she saved me from making another trip. The majority of the time the employees are friendly, fast, and quick to offer help or alternatives if something isn't available. Even with lines out the door they manage to get the line thinned out - though sometimes i wish they would give cashiers extra help when there is a line and only one person ringing people up. This location is ALWAYS busy - I've only been there once when it was empty. They have hot food to go, prepackaged meals to heat up for convenience, snacks, shakes, coffee, cold beverages, items like butter/eggs/sour cream, and a beer cooler. Great if you don't want to make the trip to the grocery store!

This is a unique, true family opperation. Mom, Deb, Dad, Anthony and Son, Colton. They are all Drag Racers & Enthusiasts (yes Mom has her own Drag car as well as the Guys), and very knowledgeable regarding their profession. They are just "Great" folks in general. I had a fuel leak on Kryptonite the NicKey ZL1 Camaro and they help me get the car on one of their lifts as well as provided the use the tools, o-rings and shop supplies we needed to get the car back on the road. They have a full in house engine machine shop as well as anything you could need for automotive repair. The shop is like a mini-museum as they have Kool race cars, customer Hot Rods and all kinds of parts and photos on the wall to check out. It turns out that Anthony races Arnie the Farmers "Tameless Tiger" Match race GTO and we have gone up against them in years past with our NicKey "Red Rat" Vega.
