Although this establishment is consistently praised in reviews as "dog friendly", my dog was attacked here by the owner's two dogs. They charged on sight. This was not a mutual dogfight or provoked in any way. We were supposed to be spending a couple of days hiking and enjoying our gorgeous cabin rental. Instead we made the mistake of stopping for dinner here and spending the night in the emergency vet an hour away. When we arrived, it was dead and Louie was the only pooch in the place. The people were friendly and no one made mention of other unleashed dogs being in the building, or that my dog being there might be a problem on that evening. We would have left immediately and taken our order to-go if we had know there would be the potential for problems. We had dinner, chatted a bit, and were getting ready to leave when two large dogs (Cane Corsos) came charging from a side door directly for my dog. The owner realized what had happened and was able to get his unleashed dogs under control. Apparently his teenage son had let them loose without thinking. Once separated, we realized there was a large open gash on my dog's shoulder and a smaller one on his leg. A helpful man at the bar, who I believe was a paramedic, wrapped my dog in bandages and suggested we hurry to the vet as soon as possible. With no emergency vet nearby, the owner did the right thing and took us to an emergency vet in Mokena. He covered the bill for sedation, stitches, meds, etc ... I do appreciate the way he handled the situation afterwards. He also expressed that he wouldn't be allowing the dogs around other dogs without a muzzle after this incident. However, I still believe people need to be aware of this before choosing to potentially put their pets in harm's way. I really don't believe the owner expected this to happen, but his dogs are not dog friendly and his kids make careless mistakes. If my dog had been smaller, he would be dead, not just injured. My dog is now in pain consistently. We cancelled the remainder of our vacation rental (without refund). We didn't even use it, other than a few hours (to sleep) when we finally made it back from the vet. We had several days booked and planned. I am also out my vacation days from work, which I am now spending caring for an injured dog at home. Not to mention time and money spent packing, preparing, driving, etc... All the work that goes into planning a trip. To top it off, I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses in the scuffle. They're not expensive but had sentimental value to me. They were left at the bar but disappeared by the time we returned. I feel so horrible for my dog and am worried that this will change his sweet demeanor towards other animals. He's never hurt another dog nor has he ever been attacked and this can cause long term trauma and behavior changes in animals. I know a lot of my friends hike and go out to dog friendly places in this area. Please steer clear of this place if you have your dog with you. read more

Came to try out their salad bar. Lots of salads (9) on the bar and toppings. I'm full. I made the "mistake" of ordering onion rings also. The helping is huge and very heaping. Quiet day. Nice place to sit and chill. Outdoor seating and plenty of space for large groups! read more

It's sad that with the amount of people at this establishment today that people will walk right up to someone's bike and steal something right off it. A few of us road down today and after we parked walked inside someone started to check out my buddies bike. I didn't think much of it given the atmosphere, amount of people and everyone checking out all the bikes. He had his helmet and gloves hanging on the bike and someone thought it would be a good idea to walk over and steal it. Thief's rank next to the lowest life forms on earth. We ride frequently but this is one stop we will skip from now on. read more

After a day of hiking, we needed a place to stop and recharge. From the outside, this business looked quite intriguing. We could hear a live band, see all sorts of patriotic decorations, and couldn't miss the oversized military style truck in the parking lot. We ordered from the patio, and brought our food inside to eat. The patio is set up nicely. However, it was about 95 degrees and we needed some ice cold air. The burger I ordered was fantastic. It tasted homemade. The fries were also top notch. The wings, were unique. There was a bit more breading than I'm used to with wings. The wings weren't bad, just quite different. There was a interesting gift shop place that sold a variety of items. The best part though, is the giant dog sitting at one of the cash registers. And yes, he is real. read more

I'm a liberal from Chicago whose hatred for Trump borders on insanity. I imagine that I am not Jamie's typical customer. I loved it anyway. I can't think of another place where you can get fed and drunk while gambling, with the opportunity to buy a machete or dragons skull with your winnings. They also have a fantastic dreamcatcher selection. They must have 5,000 different knives. It's intense. The food was excellent. Best fried mushrooms I've ever had. Servers were all nice. Prices are fair. There wasn't any live music while we were there but they have a big stage outside on their enormous covered deck. If Trump cutouts and maskless people make you uncomfortable then you won't like this place. But if you're a maga guy or a lib who likes to have a good time and can take a joke, this is the place for you. read more

Doesn't t get much more American than this...music, awesome food, bikes, beers. There's a whole lotta freedom in here. Even smells like freedom. They have a 1lb burger called the Fat Bastard! If you're not a Trump fan, you'll probably be a little butt hurt here. Their store is huge and has a ton of stuff in it. There's tons of seating and lot of space to move around. We had a great time here listening to music and having a few drinks. The musician was great on the guitar and quick witted with jokes. We had really good food from the kitchen which I'd definitely recommend..... the only drawback was the bartender seemed to be really unfriendly, and mostly attending to local customers. We had to wave her down multiple times to get her attention, and got a lot of "side-eye" when trying to. We definitely were not her priority her in a crowd of around 30, and we will probably move on to the next place if we see her bartending our next time passing through. It is what it is but unfriendliness gets you less customers if that's how you do business. read more

I would give this place a 0 if possible. We came here around 12:45 after hiking at Starved Rock. Service was very slow. We didn't get our food until 2:15 and that was after complaining because every other group that was seated after us got their food well before us. They need to work on managing their kitchen. read more

This place is huge lots of stuff to buy every wall and corner is covered the bar space is huge..the bartender with the blonde hair very friendly and attentive great prices too wanted to try the food but had other plans but definitely a raincheck. My only complaint was I bought a ton of stuff and when I got home my hoodie I bought still had the plastic sensor on it wouldn't be a problem but I live two hours away smh so I had to take it off myself and now my brand new 33 dollar hoodie has a hole in the neck area not happy read more

The food was okay, but the wait for the food made it worse. Not one single employee was wearing a mask. A young child, maybe 10?, came out and filled the plastic bin with forks..... no gloves..... just tossed all of them in there. Great place to checkout after hiking starved rock. We were staying at a hotel nearby and were looking for a bar with a good vibe. This place absolutely delivered, the band, the drinks and the firepit made it a great experience for my friends and I. They also do whiskey and bourbon tastings, I think it was 6 tastings for $10. The whiskey was phenomenal, I ended up buying 3 bottles! the Maple flavored one in particular was my favorite! read more

This is such a fun bar, the bartenders are awesome and no matter how busy they are they keep their smiles and friendly service.
