The facility was spotless, following Covid guidelines, had sanitizing stations set up and plenty of machines to work out on. Hannah Layman gave me my tour and answered all of my questions with friendliness and professionalism. She is spectacular and PF is lucky to have her. The tanning beds and message chairs were NICEEEE. I was not expecting that at all. Bathrooms were spotless. Free lockers outside the restroom area (score)! I travel the world for my career and have high expectations with gyms. To say I was blown away by this facility is an understatement. For those of you that are worried about working out and scared of being judged... This is a place for you! It is a judgment free zone and I saw that with my own eyes. There are members of ALL fitness levels and that is celebrated in this gym. You will be supported! I HIGHLY recommended this gym. This particular one is now my ultimate favorite. The layout is fantastic. You don't feel like you're on top of other people. They have an entire room for dumbbells away from the racks and machines. There's a natural flow in how the machines are laid out that match the muscle groups you are training. Plenty of various cardio machines downstairs and spread around upstairs. The stretch and abs section has its own spacious area as well. The gym was clean and I never had to go searching for paper towels. Looking forward to coming back when I'm back in town.

Based on plaques on the wall you can see they have sponsored a fund raising charity ride on behalf of the American Cancer Society for a number of years, regularly raising over $10,000 with each ride. Compared to typical shopping center gyms, this one is huge. Over 10,000 square feet I'd say (although judging that sort of thing is no my strongest suit). Plenty of equipment, and it's not all jammed together. 24 hour access with a scan card for members. Like all fitness centers, pricing varies according to length of your contract, but I experienced no pressure to sign up or to renew. In fact, it would be easy to miss the one renewal notice you'll get when your term is up. These people don't nag. Need a workout while visiting Rockmart. Staffed hours are 8:30AM to 8:30 PM Monday-Thursday, 8:30 to 5:30 Friday and 8:30 to 12:30 Saturday. You'll find everything is spotlessly clean. If you read through the recommendations, most of them are just "Just signed up, seems nice". Wait until you try to leave. They will use every stall and delay tactic possible to get another billing cycle out of you. My wife had a personal trainer through them, which isn't cheap. When she cancelled that, they had her sign a form. A week or two later, we get another bill from them that we thought was a bill because we cancelled in the middle of a billing cycle. A month later, we get another bill from them. We go into the location and they say they dont have the paperwork and act like we should have taken a picture of it since they didn't give us a copy of the paperwork. (I fully believe if we had taken a picture, they would have said "Well that's just a picture, its not official") At this point we both wanted to cancel our memberships because of how they acted. To do this, you have to call some individual in the corporate office. That guy doesn't answer the phone and then you have to send him an email and wait and hope and pray he actually reads and processes it in good faith so this company will quit leaching money from your bank account. Honestly, leaving this gym is like escaping a cult. Instead of joining this gym, just run. Run as far as you can in the other direction and you'll be in a lot better shape both physically and mentally.

They want to keep this a semi-private gym and that makes me feel way more comfortable with going to the gym. I know that people probably don't care about me and what I am doing, but I still feel self conscious when it comes to working out. Alex is my trainer and she's the sweetest! Her and her husband (Chuck) started up at the beginning of Covid (in their garage) and is now running a huge space. I was fortunate enough to hear about them because we live in the same neighborhood. I've purchased memberships at big name gyms and it was all wasted money. I actually love going to Ellison Fitness and I am totally getting my money's worth. I highly suggest giving them a try.
