We looked at the menu, full of typical fare, and - still hoping for a good experience - ordered lunch specials. My brother and I had the two enchiladas with a crunchy beef taco, refried beans, rice, while our other brother ordered the beef burrito. I also asked the server to bring us some fresh chips. She disappeared behind a door and came out a few minutes later bearing a basket of hot chips. I bit into one and realized they were still stale, she had just heated them up. No thanks. When our food arrived, all three dishes looked pretty much the same, but it's the flavor that counts, right? I took a bite of the puddle of refried beans, which were quite salty and the consistency of baby food. I tried my enchilada - which I discovered was a cheese enchilada - and it was okay but required a knife to cut. The tortilla was tough. The inside cheese was like a sauce that had been painted onto the tortilla. The rice was just orange-colored rice and the crunchy beef taco was unseasoned ground beef in a (probably) store-bought taco shell. I heard from locals this place is pretty busy at night although at noon on a weekday we did not see another soul.

Our Beachfront Queen Suite room for 1 adult and 2 children came out to $526.52. PROS The views of the Gulf, the friendly staff, the short walks to the beach, a cafe with a full bar downstairs that offers all three meals, and the existence of an outdoor pool were my favorite things. The overall property was clean and trash-free. No rowdy neighbors. It was peaceful both nights even with the restaurant directly below us. I was able to back my Jeep into the same parking spot each time even when the cafe was packed. CONS Our door did not possess the tight-fitting seal I wish it had. Ants on the balcony, crawling up the main entry door. Water bugs in the bathroom on the second night. Pool filters were not working. Worn-out boardwalk and decks. The place could use some maintenance and fixing up and bug control, but overall I was happy and felt safe. My girls were happy.

Perla who is in charge was beyond helpful and very pleasant. She was very accommodating and kind as was the entire staff. The host has repeatedly been intrusive, often showing up unannounced and making us feel unwelcome. Additionally, during one of these encounters, the host used inappropriate language and was quite disrespectful, which is completely unacceptable. We've tried to maintain a polite distance, but the situation has escalated to a point where we feel unsafe and unwelcome in what should be a relaxing environment. My family deserves to enjoy our vacation without fear or discomfort. The host called at nine and later on to state she was going to come and look at the property prior to check out. I told her we have this unit until 11 AM. The host walked in prior to our check out uninvited. I told her we do not check out to 11. She said she doesn't care.

There are several direct access points right to the beach, and there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from. One of the few condominiums on the island that has 4-bedroom, 4-bath accommodations. We've been coming to Seabreeze I for 10+ years and will be back again.
