There are two distinct members of gyms, dedicated and severely motivated individuals and totally casual ones. I am the latter and have watched in awe as regulars curl 140 pound dumb bells. However I have never felt unwelcome here. The gym features a large selection of free weights, machine weights and cardio. Even during peak usage I have never waited long for equipment. I gave my daughter a punch card for Xmas and on the mornings we worked out together her little guy visited the free onsite daycare. The change rooms feature a sauna and handicap shower stall. Day lockers are free but monthly rental is reasonable. Membership prices vary by month and yearly, but unless you visit diligently tend to be expensive. Gym has pretty good hours (5-10 M-F) and doesn't seem too crowded on when I've visited (8-9pm weeknights) - no push whatsoever to get a machine. Lots and lots of treadmills (fairly new'ish) - ellipticals / cross trainers / steppers (mostly Life Fitness stuff) are definitely a few years older, but still entirely serviceable. Locker room is small'ish but practical, bring your own lock, no soaps/creams provided. No hard sales push, which was a nice plus. read more

Best gym in town, lots of classes to choose from and they're included in the membership. Facility is clean and staff is friendly.

nice gym, with lots of membership options including weekly for $30, tons of nice new equipment, tanning, sauna, juicebar, ladies area. i'm told the spin class is really good and tough, too. and the people who go there are for the most part people who know their way around a gym; i haven't picked up that many new exercises watching others for some time. normally i don't give my business to these chain gyms, but if they are all like this, then i have to admit that i see the draw. read more

Deadlifting 1 plate (135lbs) was told to stop breaking the floor by staff because it made sound when it touched the floor. She came by and threw some mats down rudely. I have seen other gym goers (all white) literally drop the weight from waist with no lecturing. Racism? Changing their name to Planet Fitness? Both? You decide. read more
