I love world market, especially during the holidays like Easter for all of the British Easter eggs and Christmas for the Christmas crackers Mince Pies and Christmas pudding, yum. Made two stops at this Strip mall and this store was one of them, lots of stuff from all over and I really had to just do some browsing in a hurry before I indulged in a lot of goodies. Love the marzipan and the Pear and Chocolate traditional Italian cake. I think I got enough marzipan to last me till the end of the year. Mozart's are great, a little pricy this year but they melt in your mouth. The cashier was very nice, friendly and professional, will return when in the area. read more

Love this store :). They have tons of great wines and beers (you can even mix and match your own 6 pack, which is neat) as well as specialty foods. It's a fun place to go for gifts and also to just look around and kill time even if you don't buy much, or buy anything! If you like fun foods and fun gadgets for the kitchen and home, it's the place for you. Check the sales flyers in the Sunday paper for coupons, sometimes they do 10% off which is better than nothing, and they do run items on sale from time to time. World Mkt is such a fun place to shop. I always find a new treasure to take home. Their international food section is full of unique finds. The Biscotti Cookie butter they sell is amazing. The store is always clean and organized. The staff are super friendly and always helpful. On my most recent visit I found a decent Bourbon Barrel wine - Old Woodhouse for $7.99. I rolled the dice and bought a case. I am happy to say it was pretty good. Not the best BB wine I have had but well worth the price. We always seem to have some coupon deal so in addition to the good buys the added % off with a coupon makes your new found treasures an even better deal. I love making the drive from Mt. Pleasant to West Ashley for World Market. They always have trendy items, perfect for home decorating or as gifts. They have wonderful paper products, like cards and bags and wrapping paper, which I'm a total sucker for. Their home decor is also beautiful, though the price is high, so I'm not sure I could ever afford to decorate a room (including bathroom) let alone a whole house with their goods. I love the selections of beer; you can make your own 6 pack, and they sell boxes of local Charleston craft beer (one of each beer, I think 9-12 beers total for $14), which I love to pick up and keep on hand as gifts for folks. They also have fun snacks from other countries, like Japan, Thailand, India, etc. Consider "becoming a member" for free by providing your phone number so you can get the perks. World Market always has cool stuff that can make your home or living situation a little better. I really like their wine and drink selection of different bottles from around the world. The furniture selection is also a highlight as there never seems to be enough places to sit at once and it good to avoid musical chairs when you have guests over. World Market isn't the best when it comes to communicating in or out of stock items but from the minute I called to inquire about what I wanted until the time I picked it up. I experienced nothing but stellar service. The team at the store definitely goes above and beyond for their customers no matter how difficult we are shout out to Cyrus for making sure my tables that I ordered for pick up fit in my car. Even if that meant on boxing both of them in order to make sure I went home with what I ordered. Great finds and unusual items that can be given for gifts or given to me! I like all the specialty coffee and tea accessories, they can be a great addition to any kitchen. I love this store! We recently purchased the cafeteria table. It is beautiful. It was so easy to put together. I was worried because the legs are so heavy but it was simple. It's solid wood with a gorgeous finish. We also have some end tables we got there a few years ago and they too were easy to put together and they have stood the test of time. We had to go twice this day and also to Summerville store. I gave Summerville a 5 because a little better kept and I thought better service. This was not bad by any means though and good service and we got what we needed. Both stores were out of some items but this was the end of the memorial day weekend sale so understandable and both stores have a good handle on what the other stores have and communicate well in order for us to be able to make the trek to the other store to complete our needs. read more

So much stuff, so little time. Coming in here without a purpose or a goal in mind is very dangerous, because you could walk out with a bit of everything. It's like going in to a Christmas Tree Shop, but a bit more upscale. We walked around with two shopping carts, because the kids each had to have their own, and luckily we controlled how much they put in there. Our purpose was to use a coupon that was expiring soon, and that in itself is dangerous. Love coming here to browse! They have a little bit of everything and it's sourced from all over the world. You can find a wide array of jams, biscuits, cookies, teas, beers, kitchen supplies, decorative items, lamps, you name it. My only gripe is that it's fairly expensive. I can't say enough good things about World Market. It is one of my favorite shopping spots! What I love most is the gourmet food section with candy, mixes, and sauces from all over the world. I have found candy here that I have only ever seen in Italy. My newest World Market addiction is the coffee. The store has several different flavors, and most that I have tried have been really good. The only exceptions seemed to be the winter specialty coffee flavors. I hate to say it, but they were terrible...hopefully this year they will make some changes. The Explorer club was definitely worth signing up for and offers double point days on coffee and coupons off of food and furniture. This store is always fun. The furniture is interesting and they have really cute decor at reasonable prices. It is worth going out of my way to shop. The one thing I wish were different is that they carry a lot of merchandise that is from companies that mass produce in China. The behind the scenes reality of these companies is not pretty. I think it would be a step up for them to increase the quality and ethics on some things. read more

Pretty cool store in the West Ashley area. It's good for smaller, home decor type of items like kitchen utensils, living room accents, picture frames, etc....They also have a decent amount of wine options and other various food/drinks that you may not normally find in a typical grocery store. I did give them a hard look for furniture but between their prices and subpar reviews, we decided to go another route. They do send a fair amount of coupons through the mail, which is nice around the holidays. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Would probably go more if they were closer to Mount Pleasant. read more
