They have a promotion where they hide 3 different "Easter eggs" which are cards and provide a clue. My daughter located one of the cards, took it to the register and found it was worth $50! We really enjoyed walking around the store and picking out items. Of course we spent more than earned but that's ok. We picked up an Easter table runner, salt cellar, candles, fun chocolates, an evil eye beaded box, Ube chips and some other great finds. We have a World Market by me in NJ, also a fun store to shop around. They have a similar promotion at Christmas time! I won $100 in December. I recently visited World Market, and I could've stayed in there for hours! They have the cutest mugs, home décor, and furniture -- everything feels unique and high-quality. You can really tell the pieces aren't cheaply made. I especially love that they carry both indoor and outdoor rugs made from recycled plastics, which is such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. Their food section is so fun to explore! They have foods and drinks from all over the world -- ramen, authentic pasta from Italy, international snacks, sodas, alcohol, and so much more. It feels like traveling without leaving the store. I ended up buying part of the strawberry collection -- the mug, measuring spoons, and measuring cups -- and they are absolutely adorable! The only thing I'd mention is that I personally wouldn't bring very young kids unless you can keep a very close eye on them. There's a lot of glass and breakable items within arm's reach. I've been buying quite a few things at World Market lately. Every time I have interacted with the staff, they have been helpful and friendly. They helped me price a few items which was appreciated. The store is organized which ended up not in my favor as it made it easy for me to buy more than planned. Kidding aside, the selection is wide and you can find items from all around the world. I was really excited to find Di An: The Salty, Sour, Sweet and Spicy Flavors of Vietnamese Cooking Cookbook by Tue Nguyen aka TwayDaBae on Instagram. I love Vietnamese food and was so excited to grab a copy unexpectedly. I've tried many of their N/A beverages and really love the Belvoir Farm Elderflower Lemonade. I got a really cool Japanese kit kat reusable bag that was full of unique kit kat flavors. Since I purchased a lot of items, they said for me to pull up curb side so they could help me load the car. I was already a big fan of this store ... and this experience was the cherry on top. If you're not a World Market member, you need to sign up ASAP. It's free to participate, and they often text you with some really solid coupons. I took advantage of a recent offer - order online, pick up in store for 20 percent off - and ordered some furniture I had my eye on. I stopped by to pick up my furniture ... but keep in mind that I drive a small sedan. The furniture in question was two barstools and some shelves, and I was hoping it would all fit with the seats down. After checking in with the cashier inside, I drove around back of the store to meet with Joe. He presented me with an enormous box that definitely wasn't about to fit in my car. I asked if we could maybe take the chairs out of the box ... since it was going to be a hassle to have to come back with a rented van. Joe truly went above and beyond ... opening the box and loading my car with the chairs, and then tossing the box for me. This might seem like a small thing to call out ... but this experience could have easily gone in a very different direction. I hadn't been in a World Market store in AGES - maybe more than ten years - but today we were near this location, and I decided to stop in. I remember why I liked it so many years ago! It has some great food products (from British to Italian to Japanese - World Market stores really do offer a lot of pantry and snack items) and some handmade items (ceramics, for example) as well. There is a bit of furniture and some kitchen/dining goods (plates, wine glasses, kitchen tools). It has a little bit of a lot of things. Since my first shopping experience at the west Nashville store, I've frequented this location a handful more times. Although the store can improve on communication with HQ and ship to store orders (which really may be more of an internal issue??), they're doing the best they can be with what they are given. After I left my review, I was contacted by the local store manager who was more than pleasant and checked in on me a couple times to ensure my store experiences had exceeded my last visit. I'm happy to say they all have! From easy returns and exchanges, to helpful staff members, Cost Plus World Market does a great job of presenting itself in west Nashville. Highly recommend an in store visit, however, take your chance with an order to the store cause it seems like that still needs to be figured out. I have only been in a World Market a handful of times, and in various other cities, of course. But I'm SO excited that it has finally arrived in Nashville! This is exactly the kind of place that will get me into trouble. Like Leigh C. described, it's basically a much larger version of a Pier 1, but with so much more than just home furnishings--jewelry, imported food, cool beer, and just tons of random things that I talk myself into needing. Love it! Everything is super cheap too, yet you can get kitchen gadgets that you would find at Crate and Barrel or Williams-Sonoma, and the food seems to be on the gourmet side of things, but still at great prices. I can't wait to go back here--this week, I left with a few dog toys, some lobster bibs (don't ask), a jar of Nutella, and a set of note cards. Never know what I'll find next! read more

I used to work at a World Market in Chattanooga, so I have pretty high standards for any WM store. As a whole, the store inventory gets 5 stars and I will be the first to admit that nearly everything in my home that's not second-hand/thrifted comes from World Market! They carry a vast array of interesting items for your home, almost anything you could possibly want: ethnic jewelry and bold clothing, pretty gift wraps and bags, wall art, divine-smelling candles and incense, interesting furniture, rugs, lamps, textiles, unique kitchen items, and best of all... food, tea, coffee, and beer! They have the best imported and craft beer selection I've ever seen, and all kinds of amazing foreign foods and candies. My only qualm about this location is that the store is not as spacious as others I've been in, and not as well-organized. With such a huge amount of goods in a smaller space, you have to keep it tidy or else it's going to get overwhelming! I also recommend scoping out their sales: WM typically has a lot of marked-down merchandise (stuff with slight damages, things from last season) and coupons. Wow, an alternative to Pier One that sells chocolate and beer! The English chocolate here is actually imported from England, which is important to note because most of the import stores in town carry English chocolate that comes from the Middle East (not sure why, but they do). This is the real stuff though. It gets better and better: the English chocolate comes in bulk packages, so I can now buy massive packages of Malteasers (which if you've never had, you should. They are like Whoppers, but a million gazillion times better. Once you have eaten them, you will never suffer to put Whoppers in your mouth again). They have Crunchies too, made by Cadbury's and all my American friends go crazy for them. There's also a great selection of mustards, so if you're a mustardaholic, like me, you can find many ways to get your fix. What I love about World Market is the picnic section, where you can buy tiny picnic sized containers of gourmet goodies like mushroom pate and cheese spreads. We stopped here on the way to the Steeplechase to stock up. There are many things to love, from paper lanterns, to chocolate to kitchen gadgets, to rugs. read more

I receive overloads of coupons from this company which makes the following the reason why I grade one star.- their coupons aren't a rare thing- I had company in from IL and took them to this store. My sister alone spent +$200 and the coupon I gave her was expired by 2 days and the girl was "following policy" not giving her the discount. My definition of poor customer service at any company is this exact example. Hey World Market, I'm going to Bed Bath & Beyond because they honor their own coupons no matter what the date is! I'm not a big shopper - i.e. just walk in a store and pick up whatever catches my eye - but I certainly have that problem here. My favorite part is their selection of international food! I always enjoy walking through and looking at the different items that World Market has for sale. They have a lot of different accent pieces, along with furniture, glassware and kitchen items. Sometimes I like to just browse around for inspiration, checking out their little knick-knacks and big furniture items. And if you go at just the right time, you can pick up a really good deal on whatever they have for sale! Also if you join their World Market Explorer program, you'll get extra bonuses and accrue points. I have a desk and cabinet from there and the wood is solid even after self assembling. A note on customer service: they're very helpful at this store. When an item I wanted was out of stock they took my number and called me as soon as it arrived. I have to admit that furniture prices were very low, but quality didn't seem so hot. My favorite section of the store was the snacks and sweets area, where you can buy a variety of fairly unhealthy food from Europe and Asia. If you're looking for Pocky (Japanese snack sticks), World Market has got you covered. I expected more selection of foods, but it seems to be really strong in the Beer department. Overall I can SEE the appeal, but if you are looking for a specific thing from a specific part of the world, you'll likely have better luck looking on the Internet than hoping World Market has that Russian Spice or French Chocolate you crave. read more

Let's see : Home Decor - wide selection of unique pieces from all over the world. You can find crafts from the other side of the pond - like wooden decorative pieces from India or Indonesia. Some of my favorite pieces are: wooden bedframe, white ceramic elephant decorative piece, and a lot more. I was looking specifically for some faux plants/flowers to brighten up my room but that selection is rather limited here. Clothing and Jewelry - very bohomien and free style. I am really into the style but I can appreciate the beauty of them, so they still make for a good window shopping trip I guess haha. Kitchen Utensils - the best! We did not look out for any kitchen utensil on this trip but ended up buying the glass oil/vinegar bottles and a pair of salt/pepper shakers because they are so classy and chic! Love them! Food and Beverages - very interesting, especially if you are into cuisines from other countries. I am especially in love with the coffee and tea beverage, not only for their unique flavor selections but also for the colorful and diverse packagings. Apparently, the Nashvillians (mainly the imported ones) have been waiting for the day when World Market opened its doors. The day has finally come, and I can now say that I have experienced a World Market. Nestled in the new shopping complex in West Nashville (Charlotte Pike... just down the road from the Wal Mart), World Market adds another dimension to the mix of chain retail stores that now occupy the once sketchy part of town. My shopping experience was one that left me wanting more. The store is a delightful blend of imported furniture, kitchen items, foods, and many goodies. I was quite overwhelmed, but I plan another visit soon, even if all I can afford is a savory European chocolate. That alone is worth the trip! Until my next paycheck, that will have to do! read more

This place has a lot of cool stuff for your house and for your belly! My girlfriend and I have bought everything from a couch to Spicy Chili Mango's, and everything in between! This World market seems smaller than most I have been to. However my wife and I love World Market, the selection is really good and diverse, the food selection is great and the beer is probably is the best. You can mix and match to make your own collection. We buy the majority of our home furnishings here. Items from World Market and antiques that is. Anyway, the staff is friendly for the most part. We bought a carpet from here and the guy didn't want seem to want to help that much. He did get it down for us but I had to carry it to the car. The store is set up like other World Markets and is nice and clean. There is free coffee samples in the back, that are really really good, and you HAVE to try the chocolate hippo's in the german section! In a city that's filled with local shops, it's hard to find good people working in retail these days. Well, the manager at World Market (I believe his name is Glenn) is absolutely amazing!! I had some curtains that I purchased several (about 7) months ago that I just wasn't pleased with. I brought them in to the store and he was determined to help me return them and give me store credit. He worked tirelessly to find the receipt (which took a very long time) and did not complain at all. He was so helpful and patient the entire time. Even if he was impatient, he didn't show it. I was so satisfied with this experience and wanted to give him some credit for his efforts. You'll definitely be satisfied at this store. Great products, but even better customer service! Nashville Aussies (and aussie lovers) rejoice! Nashville now has a place where you can purchase your favourite Arnotts biscuits (tim tams of course!), I had been counting down the days till this store opened just so i could get my tim tam slam fix. Today was that day. They also have a fine array of cadbury and other aussie lollies ( think flake & violet crumble ). And a ton of other treats from around the world that hold less sentimental value to me but that you might also like. And I can't wait to see husband's excitement when he sees the beer selection. Unfortunately because of Tennessee's liquor laws this location does not sell the usual worldly selection of wine. But don't just go here for the food. World Market is really more about home accessories and decorating than anything else. Think bigger, cheaper Pier 1 ( with added jewelry and handbags and a food section.) This really should read India market! More than half the stuff in there is from India. But, discounting that, the place truly has some marvelous wonders from all over the world. I am a sucker for the food section (and free coffee) and saunter through the aisles, searching for new foodstuff to eat. I got my dining table set from here years ago and have been very satisfied.
