Just made a purchase at the Tyler Texas World Market store and had an amazing experience at checkout. Miss Ella greeted me with a welcoming smile, and I received outstanding customer service. In my opinion Miss Ella went above & beyond to ensure I had an active "rewards" account - walked me through the steps ensuring I had utilized every coupon & discount available to me. I visited Tyler Tx world Market on tonight as I was at the register 1 and getting ready to pay for my rug and items in my bag Ashley leaves register 2 and left 4 or 5 customers in line waiting as she took it upon herself for no reason to go through my bag and then question why I had two small extra bags which I had two extra bags because I told cashier I needed two extra bags because 2 items were placed in 1 bag and I was going to take them to seperate households. Ashley just looked at me and smiled or smirked when I ask why she went through my bag. Abbey and Alexis were very helpful and understanding when I expressed my concern. Cody, the store manager was called to assist me with my concern but the expression that he had on his face as he walked up to great me gave off a negative feeling as if he was annoyed or bothered and did not want to assist. He willingly agreed to give me corporate telephone number or email address but said Jason is district or regional manager but he refused to give me Jason email address nor telephone number to reach Jason. He never offered to have Jason call me. He went to the back to get contact information for corporate and store email and left me standing at the front of the store at least 10 minutes and no update. I am very disappointed with my visit and Ashley behavior and unprofessional. I was so insulted, belittled and embarrassed. I did decline my purchase and ask the cashier to void my purchase. I refuse to shop with world market and ashamed that they condone such behavior!!! Cody only apologize for making me wait over 10 minutes for him to write down contact information for corporate but I never recalled any apology for Ashley behavior. Totally UNACCEPTABLE read more

Right to start off I would like to say that this store would've gotten 5 starts if it weren't for the disgusting bathroom. There were unknown substances and hair all over the walls and floors.(and toilet) The sink was clogged and holding water, there was no soap, the trash was overflowing, and there was toilet paper all over the floor. I could understand the bathroom being messy if. it were busy at the time... but it wasn't busy at all. read more

Store Manager JD, went above and beyond to help us. When we came in to buy a table that was not available online, we found out that the store only had a floor model available. We were disappointed, we were unable to purchase and take it home that day. However, JD did not leave it there. He helped to literally scan all the tables we were looking at to confirm if they had stock in the store to take with us. We ended up getting a table that we originally had not seen online but liked at the store. When we got the table home we realized it was the better option fit the space anyway. We also needed a few other pieces JD walked around the store with us, scanning items and helping us to gather the pieces we needed. Ultimately, he made the process of furnishing our rooms a breeze! MY PROBLEM IS NOT INSIDE THE STORE. No stars actually, but there is not a zero choice. I am basing this on my experience ordering for curbside pickup in Tyler Texas store. viewing the curbside ordering and issues with the website. They did not answer the telephone as I called for an entire day to pick up my curbside order. I ordered on a Monday and it was to be picked up on Tuesday. Remember it is 1 item not a big item either. I called twenty times in the same day just to see if they really would not answer and they did not. They repeatedly forwarded my call to nowhere. All I want now is my money back and I won't be shopping there again. Management ( if they aren't the ones hanging up on customers) may want to supervise the people who are supposed to be filling orders for curbside. If you don't have curbside then DON"T SAY YOU DO!!!! I would have had no problem coming in but I DON"T KNOW IF MY ORDER IS EVEN READY. PITIFUL read more

JD, store manager and Will, manager, were EXTREMELY helpful to me in finding one of their products that was quite the challenge to find. They both went above and beyond to help me, even after contacting customer service and corporate office. I got minimal response from them but JD made this happen when no one else could! I cannot say enough good things about how helpful and professional they are in running their store in Tyler, TX. I recommend a promotion for both of them and a huge pat on the back. This place is really weird. They sell wine, British candy and cookies, rubber dinosaurs, and furniture. I swear it makes no sense at all. Why can't Tyler get a Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom? Why are we doomed to get ridiculous stores such as World Market and Ross? read more

I went to World Market to get some curtains and they were out of the size I needed. ( needed 96 in.) I asked the supervisor if she could order the ones I wanted and she did. She told me as soon as the curtains arrived someone from the store would call me to let me know they were in. I received two separate calls from Heather and Britta letting me know they were in.
