My son does the jiujitsu classes on Monday and Wednesday and he does the Muy Thai classes on Thursdays. He loves it! We are planning to sign my daughter up once she's old enough. There are a lot of girls that take the classes too! I asked one of the other moms why they signed their daughter up for the class and she said that her daughter was being picked on at school. It's a great way to teach our children about self defense. The gym also gives back to the community by having members donate supplies for teachers and they are doing a toy drive for kids right now. When they compete in local competitions, they win! They're actually holding a competition for teens and adults this February as well! I would highly recommend trying it out. When it started, he personally instructed his students to roll with us, which was really cool. Usually, we have to find partners for ourselves, which can be a bit awkward. Everyone was really nice. Everyone taught us something new. There were a lot of high belts. Never seen so many brown and black belts for an open mat. They were the majority. Usually, you will be lucky to find a few. The facility looks like it was renovated recently and looked very clean and nice. The bathrooms were nice with showers and lockers. They had a water filling station, which was especially awesome. Best of all, we met someone from a previous open mat that goes here. Small world! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a solid place to train.

I went in on the 9th of this month to try Pilates for the first time in a very long time. Walked into an empty studio and it was only her and I. I was a bit surprised that there were no other students there and I even told her. So basically it was a one on one session that started at 5:30pm. Alizul was very good at her job for only being there since middle of May. Took her time for me to follow her lead and instructions. The pace level was also great! They offer classes which include the following: Yoga, Pilates, Kyudo, Tai Chi, Laido (sword drawing), for adults, children, teens and seniors. When I walked in, Alizul made me sign a waiver for liability purposes and few other forms. Really enjoyed her class, technique, and style. Lee, who is the owner of this studio, has over 4 decades of experience in marshal arts. I didn't meet her personally, but later she sent me a text message apologizing for one of their instructors by the name of Keri. We were on our way out and Keri had a class coming in. We didn't take any of her time, but she was rude and unprofessional by saying "we have a class right now" I truly think she was having a senior moment or a bad day. They take all method of payments, has a gender neutral restrooms, street and private lot parking space. The class for an hour was $20.00 which was FANTASTIC!! Studio was super clean and fully equipped with all the amenities that you need for your classes. Thank you Lee, Alizul, and North Valley Aikikai.
