He was reluctant to take any martial art, but I insisted he learn the basics so he could learn to protect himself without throwing punches or kicking. I chose this studio because of a referral from my best friend who's kids compete in tournaments. While my son is slower and less athletic than the other kids his motivation is to keep getting the next level up. I like how the coaches know the kids by name and take the time to instruct with demonstrations and watching them closely while they grapple. I tell my son he doesn't need to win, just keep trying. They were trying to charge me $299 for each teenager which comes out to be 600 basically or 199 and could only go bi-weekly so basically $400 for both bi-weekly I love martial arts but this is getting out of hand 600 for two teenagers a month is ridiculous. After trialing many places in the valley we have settled on this gem in northridge with professor Jason who I would also consider a master child educator. There is something about professor Jason that just commands respect. His tone, his diligence, his ability to run a class of children ranging from 4-6 years old with ease. This is the real deal. With many assistants to the professor he is equipped with a master team. I'm so proud of my boys that have joined Little Champ empire. This not only diminishes the quality of instruction but also creates chaos on the mats, especially when dealing with kids who act out. Also, It would be beneficial for the management to establish stricter guidelines for parents to ensure that siblings not participating in the class are supervised and do not disrupt the environment. Unfortunately our time here was short. My 5 year old was not enjoying her time and I kept bringing her until she finally had a meltdown and I decided it best to pull her out. According to their contract we have to give a 60 day notice. This means they will continue to charge my account even though we are no longer attending classes. This is straight up fraud and my bank will be handling it from there. They are not empathetic just looking to get paid. We attended 3 classes in 2 months and I will be charged for another 2 months. Where can I start?? There are so much to talk about and so many reasons to give FIVE stars!! My 9 yr old son has asthma. He tried everything. Soccer, basketball, baseball, Tae Kwon Do...!!
